I'm not gonna lie, I'm not really into social media like that. I'm not on facebook. I seldom use my twitter and it was dormant for 4 years, till recently, when I exchanged a few messages with someone. I've an Instagram account that's just there for the sake of it cuz I don't upload anything there - apart from watching other people. I'm not on snapchat. And I'm not on any dating sites.
However, I've met people online. I met a few chicks online in high school on MySpace when it was popping. Stayed away from it for a long time and met three chicks on a a female forum last year. And that was an impromptu thing because I never had any intentions of meeting anyone there, tbh.
So, I'd say, there's nothing wrong with meeting people online if it works for you. You just have to be smart/observant enough to know the type of people you are meeting cuz the Internet is a scary place.
