iv'e been said this, idk why people don't believe it. looks>money>status( in extreme cases of both money and status it can replace looks for #1 spot)>Build(includes height/muscles etc..)> "personality"( this word is overly used)>"confidence". this is for initial attraction(when first meeting/seeing someone). if you're fat,short, and ugly your confidence will not be looked at in a good way, it will be seen as you compensating for what you lack. I.E when a short or ugly guy hits the gym, people still downplay their achievements. when you're "attractive" certain things that would usually be seen as "weird", or "creepy" will be labeled ass "mysterious" or "different" in a good way.

Yes, it's true to a point. Game, confidence, swag.....whatever you call it....only works if the chick likes your vibe and/or look. That's not to say looks are ALL THAT MATTERS....that's not true. Looks are only a part of it, but if a chick is not at least attracted to you at a basic physical level, all the words in the world won't make it happen.

Let's be clear too. Women like all different types of looks, so dudes need not be worried that if you're not this height or that weight or that complexion that chicks won't choose up. There's women that will choose up no matter what. But a dude needs to catch her eye.

On the flipside, you can be a good looking dude with no mouthpiece and struggle heavy. You might catch a few dumb birds who will choose up on some low level sh#t, but you won't be able to keep them. Unless they're wack and simply can't do any better than a good looking, awkward dude.

And by looks, that not only applies to biological things like height, weight, skin, etc. It applies to style, hygiene and smell. Dudes can up their game by making sure they look and smell good.

Looks only open the door....they don't keep the door open. But you have to get in the door to even sit on the couch.

It's hard to simplify attraction in one blanket statement.

The OP's premise is true in many if not most cases. However, there are times that a woman is not initially attracted to a guy but over a period of time his personality and game makes her attracted to him. Now, this doesn't happen the majority of the time, but when it does happen the couple tends to be in a more serious relationship, so you have a higher % chance of "seeing it".

I think there is also a disconnect in what people are looking for in terms of an effective strategy. If you want to date women that are significantly better looking than yourself, confidence may not be enough. But for women at your level, confidence may seal the deal. Also, for these ugly guys with confidence that get play, do they have status? are they tall and/or muscular? do they have a little loot?

I look at the game holistically and believe that attraction is based on several factors. Looks are important but just one of many factors. Every woman is different and will judge differently. If you aren't successful with women, you are probably slacking in SEVERAL categories, not just lacking looks or confidence. And if your expectations are too high, you may never be able to reach them, no matter what you do.

And don't be afraid to stand out a bit. Not in an unattractive way. Females like a dude that sticks out a bit. It's the same concept for store owners. Flashy things that stand out are more likely to be admired. I know that's corny and it may even sound like bs to folks that don't dabble in the dating game much but it's real folks.
