No, I think most people just assume the console platform holder provides the servers for 3rd-party games, Including the author of this article. I still haven't heard a MS exec or employee say or was quoted as saying all multiplayer games will have dedicated servers.

you and your crazy logic. I will say one more time. Microsoft has a platform for devs whether are 1st,2nd or 3rd party for cheap use of dedicated servers. Of course if they have their own servers such as EA they can still use their own. In fact it would be idiotic to not use the service because it is baked into the platform. They will have minimal cost and work for it to be implemented.

During the reveal they said dedicated servers for all games that want to use the cloud
They dedicated 300,000 servers for this cause. Its more computer processing power than what the entire world had back in 1999 (Tru Story)
Now if you want to know more in-depth info about the Xbox position with Azure, all you need to google/bing/askjeeves/etc is "Xbox One dedicated cloud thunderhead"
You do that, you'll begin to get on my level of knowledge regarding these things that you spent the summer laughing at because your a dumb a$$hole

That not his argument. He said 3rd parties are responsible for their own servers and Microsoft does not have anything to do with it. That true this gen but not next gen on the X1. The infrastructure is already there. Why build it if MS has done all the work and will let you use them on the low.

The first post of this thread goes into great detail of how/why they used it on XB1
PS4 does not have a cloud solution, Gaikai isn't that type of cloud service, and we've known this all along
So with no multibillion dollar cloud infrastructure there is no equivalent for PS4 now or anytime soon
