they do deserve credit for 83 wins in a single season but the fact they avoided the Spurs, Clippers and a healthy Cavs team really does take away from them being on the level of any other 60+ win teams from history that won the title. Not their fault but they really should've put the Cavs away easier than 6 games if they were an all time great team.

This championship kind of showed why 1st seeds mattered. They basically did a Super Mario Brother warp pipe to the finals, and stayed healthy and won.

They didn't really avoid the Clippers or Spurs. The whole point of having the best record in the regular season is to have more favorable matchups in the early rounds of the playoffs. They beat the Rockets in 5 who beat the Clippers in 7 who beat the Spurs in 7. What's to say they wouldn't have beat either of those teams the same way?
