If you’re not making at least 100k you’re lower class. :yeshrug:
Dead ass, 100K is almost lower class soon

And before you brokies get up in arms, the cost to OWN…not rent or lease or any of the stuff brokies do to appear not broke…owning a car, a degree, a HOUSE, legally enforced insurance for car and house, paying property taxes, debt repayment to move up in society and have steady well paying employment…100K is not enough to do all that and still be able to save for a lot of ppl. I didn’t even mention a family and kids

It’s fukking rough out here. America is cooked. Americans are like the meme with the house on fire right now, still spending money they don’t have, still being apathetic to politics, still pretending it can’t happen here. We about to be living like Cyberpunk in a few generations

The country is being looted. :francis:

This is some stuff you expect to see in Eastern Euro oligarch countries or African dictatorships.

It's fascinating when it happens here. I hope hashtag-gang will finally understand why people "flee" their countries. There was no such thing as going back and fighting when you have no say whatsoever in the corruption that happens in your country.

We are witnessing this right now in America as our president and his cronies blatantly enrich themselves with half a billion dollar jets and billion government contracts for themselves while stealing from the public. Infrastructure, healthcare, and education be damned.

And again the mirrors between what's happening now and what happens in third world countries is mind-boggling. So now if you go to court and try to sue, the judges have been packed with loyalists turning the rule of law into toilet paper. If you go to the streets and protest, there is a nice little, extraterritorial jail cell waiting for you in El Salvador. :snoop:

All trump and friends need to do To complete the third world playbook is declare martial law when the inevitable protests happen over the summer :wow:
This is why Bannon keeps saying there will be a constitutional crisis by the summer. Steve Bannon is the most honest about this regime. If y'all want to know what's in store, listen to Steve Bannon.

Worked 20 years to be middle class. About to be poor again... cant even argue or fight about it unless I want to go to prison in Libya... smh...

Agree.

Additionally, what people don’t understand is successful people keep grinding. Those who were making $100k will now look to make the equivalent of whatever $100k is for that economy.

You see, you’re not going to stop the “A-students” from achieving their goals just because you didn’t do your homework and elected the class clown to disrupt the class. When shyt gets bad is when the “overachievers” and driven people shine above a pack, they don’t go down to anybody’s level.

If $500k is the new $100k the same group of people would be there. All while slackers keep thinking grifters will “do the work” for them.

Democratic times are when the driven usually chill and takes breaks. THAT’S the time for everyone else to catch up. Times of turmoil and stress are when their alertness goes up, gets serious and separate themselves from the pack while other people don’t have the same resources/capacity. All these poor and complacent middle class Trump supporters did was make competition tougher on themselves.

I disagree about successful people that keep grinding. A LOT of people do the grinding in the early years until they reach a place of comfort and then take the foot off the gas. I know that with myself and a lot of my coworkers that's the case, especially has people have families and their priorities change. It's gone be a lot of people needing second jobs though.

I definitely think there’s a difference. I know some people hate learning new things once they get to a certain level and for good reason. I actually see that in Engineering. A lot of old timers don’t want to learn to use new tools although it makes the job easier and are objectively better than the ones they were using. Like you said, priorities change.

However there are many that honestly will keep grinding and/or will make the change in their schedule to accommodate what they need to do. Those are the ones who’ll scale with the times for the most part and who you can’t really stop no matter who the President is. I know a lot of people try to slow them down and throw wrenches in their plan because they overachieve but you’re definitely not going to beat nor keep up with them that way. That’s who I’m mainly referring to. A very “come what may”, present moment or Buddhist mentality to have.
