Difficult to say how cost wise(though there will be passed on cost) without knowing the details of the breakup(should it occur), but the public buying Warrens misguided monopoly rhetoric is dangerous... Tech differs from other sectors as competition doesnt compete with current market giants, they move the market. IBM, Microsoft and Nokia were not beaten by companies doing what they did, but better. They were beaten by companies that moved the playing field and made their core competitive assets irrelevant. The same will apply to Facebook (and Google, Amazon and Apple).

There's probably some belief on the left that breaking up a company like Amazon will not affect consumers in the slightest but this will not be true.
