I just think money and power is meat of this. The main thing here is that Pelosi and other dems are bankrolled by corporate interests while those 4 congresswomen are not and that's where the divide is. Accusing Pelosi and other mainstream Dems that aren't white of being racist gets us nowhere

if omar, AOC, were white we'd still see the same divide. Pelosi and her ilk want to keep collecting donations and maintain power as the "opposition" to Republicans. Their gravy train is over if there are more congresspeople like those 4

Here's the problem though.....

None of the freshmen making noise are white.....

In fact the only white freshman to make noise is Katie Porter and she made rounds not by speaking on concentration camps, not imperialism, not racism - but predatory lending practices. I don't think I've even seen her connect that to race once.

There are no white freshman making noise because their politics are tied to their whiteness. There is a reason why the 4 loudest freshman are women of color.

There's an interesting section early on here where they point to the in-fighting with Ilhan Omar and Pelosi targeting her as what took all the attention away from HR-1 which was one of the bolder bills that the House tried to pass. It also talks about the disconnects that keep causing the establishment Dems to attack the progressives, be upset when they get hit back and also become confused when the country doesn't react the way they expected.

I'm actually not an immigrant. I was born here. My parents are immigrants.

I don't rock with class over race. I'm black and Muslim, I got a couple strikes on me to begin with even if I had a couple dollars on me.

Interesting, I generally feel like you put a lot of focus on class and support people who push the idea that if we fixed class issues many of the race issues would be fixed.
