Yea...that let's me know where Barack's head is at seriously. I know he couldn't say black people deserve reparations without backlash...but he at least somewhat supports the idea towards some sort of restitution for black Americans.
It a really comes down to white people refusing to create an equal level for black people to compete because they think we should be at the proverbial bottom of the totem pole forever. I mean...look at their habits. They like to have pets and control them. They like that BDSM shut where they refer to people as slave and another as dominant. The prison system is basically the new plantation with a disproportionate amount of blacks in it compared to everyone else. Controlling people and animals is in their nature alright...no matter how much they try to deny it...that's who they are.
That's why I honestly think if reparations ever happened, black Americans should invest in parts of Africa as a safe zone to avoid crackers...straight up. No matter what...If your black in America they are going to try to control you and enslave you one way or another (social security, taxes, information storage, fbi...).
They are sick people and refuse to admit it to us but glorify it. They are obsessed with us...moreso...controlling us. They can't be trusted at all.

Man psychologically black people are fukking broken man. It's so bad we don't even realize it. I used to believe Jesus was white, God was white, the angels was white, etc. I used to think we came from absolutely nothing. Man it got so bad I actually said to myself once "Thank God for slavery or we'd still be stuck in Africa
" It's one of the reasons why I view church as propaganda because that's exactly where I got that shyt from (despite the game my pops tried to put me on).The shyt is so ingrained in us that black women in 2015 don't even realize the weave/perm they have came straight out of self hatred. To them it's just normal. It's why we spend so much time trying to bickering about #TeamLightskin and #TeamDarkskin. It's why some of our are so obsessed with having a white wife that we'd take all kind of humiliation and abuse. It's part of why black men can't get together without immediately feeling like we have to challenge each other over every minute thing.
I had to be honest with myself a while back and admit that yes, I used to believe black people were inferior to whites. I looked at our condition and thought the reason we are the way we are is because white people are just smarter and worked harder. It took me YEARS to get that c00n/slave mentality out of me. A lot of soul searching and a lot of reflecting. The thing that helped the most was learning about African history. In the diaspora no matter what we read, it's gonna be a story of oppression that more than likely began with slavery. But in Africa, man we had massive kingdoms and people would come from all over the globe to get an education from an African (the University of Sankore for example). We ruled not just in Egypt, but in Mali, Ghana, Benin, Songhai, Zululand, Nubia, and Kush. I recently read about a discovery of lost civilization in Negeria dated around 1000 AD that was the size of the state of Tennessee
I always laugh when people say we talk about race too much on this board. IMO, we don't talk about this shyt nearly enough.
IMO as a afro Latino my self (Dominican) i think ONLY AFRICAN AMERICANS, should get it , be it money, free education or land , if your family didn't not suffer directly from NORTHER AMERICAN SLAVERY and it cant be proven that you are MULTI GENERATIONAL African american (by census records, SS records, birth certs marriage certs etc) you don't get to reap the benefits of north american reparations.
I personally don't believe we will ever see reparations in this country and here is why: The denial of slavery here ,the African holocaust is treated in this country almost as a children story , anyone who studied in a american school knows what i mean, you probably no more about Jewish holocaust and its horrors than you do about the African one . If reparations were to ever happen it would be and admittance by the american government that they took part in one of the most horrific profitable mass genocides of modern times.
Then the other big elephant in the room, the economic boost it could give millions , and yea some are gonna buy benzs, jordans and blow it away on strippers, but that's not who am talking bout, and am not talking about those AA who are already wealthy (another grey area, do they deserve it) nooo am talking about the millions of lower middle class AA who will all of sudden get a push into upper middle america, those who don't hear about the news who work there butts off everyday , who study there asses off to be the whole person of color in XYX company, those who everyday do the right thing. Those people my friend, the voiceless, the powerless will all of sudden have a big say in what happens in this country, they are they reason you will not see reparations here.

I will admit, I haven't invested too much time or money into black literature. I've really become knowledgeable aware about people like Dr. Claude Anderson, Dr. Umar Johnson, etc...from here but best believe I will take some time to get into their works. I just started from the Autobiography or Malcolm X when I was in college and took advantage to read into the writings of prolific black minds.
I will admit as well, I am one of many black people that talk but aren't putting in the proper action I would like to...mainly due to my own lack of funds to really put towards it. But that has changed over the years.

No problem man, thanks for your honesty. It's one of the most refreshing things on this site. Well, I had the idea of putting together a coli fund to invest money into getting those books into the hands of brothas/sistas who are either planning on working for the community or are already putting in work for the community to have these as guides and references as they navigate the levels of community building.
IMO, works from these three authors really gives you a solid philosophical foundation as well as a clear and precise agenda to take to your community and put into action. All three authors really gave me viable solutions that I and people in my circle were able to use right away. It's not the end all be all of course, but it's a step in the right direction and I feel would cut down on the many disagreements I see brothas and sistas have.

Group economics can still work even if we never see a penny of reparations money. I'm like you, I'm 1st generation American so I won't get a penny of that money but I still support the US giving reparations to my people 100%.
But if the goal is to get reparations, group economics can be a catalyst to us actually getting that bread we're owed, but we'd have to be organized. We keep talking about the 1.2 trillion USD of spending power, but we never talk about using that power as a weapon. I read a statistic that says only 3% of the black dollar goes to black businesses. That means we literally give white people the vast majority of the 1.16 TRILLION dollars that we actually control every fukking year.
If we up that number to just 10% we could fukking change every aspect of our community. We can end our poverty, have our own schools, have our own hospitals, have our own media outlets, our own hollywood, airports, supermarkets, oil companies, fast food restaurants, malls, our own everything. Then we can go to the US government from a position of power and say we DEMAND our reparations or else
And once we start spending money with ourselves, the amount of wealth we would create would raise dramatically. It's why I'm going out of my way to give every fukking penny I make to black companies. I want everything in my house to be made by a black person. Every TV, every phone, every stitch of clothing, every ounce of food. It's why I put my money in a black bank, why I found a black lender to do my mortgage, why I found a black realtor, and why I'm moving all of my investments to Ariel Investments (a black owned investment firm).
Right now, we literally have EVERYTHING we need to change our condition overnight. But we're such unconscious consumers that we give away our power to Europeans, Asians, Latinos, and every other group while we remain on the bottom of every economic indicator. The shyt is maddening man and I don't understand why we won't wake the fukk up
