I can't tell if this guy is a neoliberal, neoconservative, or a Don Lemon. This guy is literally all over the place with this essay.
Notice how the piece is titled "To My Fellow Americans", but not a response to the blacks as he is aiming at in this essay. You can't make a case for black people to be pro-cop, when you constantly bring up how disconnected you are from the black community. That's why he's pandering to non-blacks.
- It's 11am and unfortunately only 27 degrees outside in Cleveland, OH. I just woke up and it is 72 degrees in my home. I slept uninterrupted and peacefully because hot air continuously pumps through the vents of my ADT-monitored, police-protected, gun-protected home.
Typical intro to a neoconservative/neoliberal essay.
- My beautiful Irish/Jewish wife is downstairs doing laundry and waiting for me to get up so we can go to the store.
Well, I guess its official - Bragging about non-black wives goes well beyond TheColi.
- Yes, I know 11am is late to be getting up, considering the "Early Bird" and all, but I was up all night 3D printing prototypes and editing a promotional video for my start-up company, which will launch a crowding-funding campaign next month. It's called Selfie|Z and I've been putting all my efforts into it since March. Unfortunately, I was laid off last year from my web programming job, so I decided it was a good time to take advantage of the robust free market economy we enjoy in this country.
So this guy has been living off his pawg for the past year and is working on a time-sensitive gimmick, hoping to collect
donations. Yet this is the same person who brags about living safe and secure in the intro. Low-key, this paragraph was a jab at black people who conservatives claim are leeching the system or just aren't "pulling themselves up by their bootstraps", yet he is just as guilty.
- So now I'm up. I step into the shower to wash my body. A refreshingly powerful stream of crystal clear, perfectly heated water runs over my body. I stay there for 8 minutes and in that time 8-10 gallons of clean, drinkable water flows from shower head, to body, to drain.
I think nothing of it.
Claims to be unemployed, and yet it still wasting his resources. This guy clearly did not come from the average black family like mine where you got scolded for taking showers longer than 3-5 minutes. Just like an entitled rich kid, he knows nothing about conservation or saving, because he gets everything he wants. I guess its good to be a #newblack liberal trying to keep up with the Joneses in the suburbs.
- Sometimes I do reflect on the reality of a person in a place such as third-world Africa and the fact that many of them die because they don't have access to the basic life-sustaining necessities I take for granted on a daily basis.
Yes, I'm sure you do. Just like 90% of the liberals who are only in Africa to do photo-ops with starving African kids and get into the charity hustle.
- I don't give it much thought though, I have too many first-world things to do today.
Of course you wouldn't. You have your white wife. You have your white-picket fence. Your security system and your gun. What concern do you have with Africans, much less African-Americans here? More importantly, what are you trying to prove? Because you prove very hard to relate to.
I'm not going to bother critiquing the rest of his essay, because it is more of the same talking points. He constantly tries to give the image that he is living better than other black people and is desperately trying to assimilate into the white community, even though his skin color will always hold him back in that regard.
what was the point in showing this letter??
Absolutely no other reason to try to get points from white people. "Look at me, I'm a proud, 2nd Amendment-supporting neoconservative/neoliberal with a white wife who condemns the actions of Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, thugs, but not your own community that stereotypes us, disenfranchises us, exploits us, and murders us at a far higher rate. I'm the real thing".
