You ask those within the Black community to become members of the museum. I did it for the Smithsonian Black American museum, before I found out it was also putting up pieces that had nothing to do with us. There are enough Black Americans with money and consider the culture important enough to support issues like this. The assumption that the only way to do it is to turn it into a club or ask white people for money, just shows that some of you have a somewhat low opinion on what our people are capable of on our own.I'll ask you the same question I asked all the accusers, which never went answered: How does he realistically keep the museum open without taking cac money? Also, name a museum worth a shyt that doesn't do social events of some sort? I've seen museums do weddings, birthday parties, Bar Mitzvahs, why can't he do events?
The funny thing is that it does not take that much to do it either. There are enough middle and above class Black people to easily support a museum that was created just for us. You have to be seen as legitimate though, and explain how important what you are doing is. When it comes to those with actual money and are aware of what is needed, you have less of a chance to get it if you come off as a grifter to us.
