They can't handle a widely trusted source of information that doesn't skew history in the direction that their heavily biased sources do. So they created a bizzaro-world equivalent called Conservapedia which distorts facts so they can continue to live in their delusion.

│ As an example, Trail of Tears - Wikipedia for the Trail of Tears details an important event in US history. The article contains a great summary of events with hundreds of supporting document and links to cited sources and related articles.

│ The Trail of Tears - Conservapedia contains a dumbed down, white washed version with a scant three paragraphs on the subject. It's guaranteed to not upset the sensitive conservative who doesn't want to admit this country has ever done anything wrong.

These people are operating on logic from Trump’s first term.


Trump shytposts an insane plan on his social media platform of choice at 3am.
The media flips their collective shyt because it would literally destroy the country if enacted.
Nothing actually happens because Trump is not so much a US president as he is a glorified press secretary to Mitch McConnell and Peter Thiel.


It’s actually kind of understandable for a low information voter to think that dynamic would continue, because they haven’t been paying attention to how much Trump consolidated his power in the GOP while out of office. Now they get to learn why voting for a guy because his terrible ideas never actually happen is… well, genuinely idiotic.
