Not true at all. This is what the white folks told you. Go meet some of your own people, and learn directly from them, as opposed to reading about them on the Internet.

Even in the hood, the dude that is about something more than the statistics is still not loved as much as the goon dude that do bids like nothing. Even the nu age blakc dudes that ain't about the street life too much are still shytted on and the 35+ year old dude that came up from the crack era still gets love.

Nah. That's a coping technique. Same thing you say when a girl shuts you down.

"I ain't want that bytch no way"

But in reality if you embrace them and give them that hope they need, they will be more loyal to you than any wealthy/educated black person will ever be.

And quit letting a couple lines you heard in a movie shape your view of an entire community. It's the height of ignorance on your part

nikka what.???? Now I know ain't serious. Go ahead an keep caping for the "lower" class since they are so wonderful, more loyal and much better than our "wealthy/middle class/educated/hardworking" Black people.

That's just not true. There is a very small minority of people who are just too far gone. Yes they exist.

But the overwhelming majority of people in the "hood" want to become educated and prosperous just like everybody else. Their problem is, they just don't know how to do it. No leaders, no guidance.

So much wrong in less than a paragraph.

Go on somewhere. I know what I'm talking about.

The compromise of 1850 helped reinforce Black Nationalism. This is the beginning of what William Moses-perhaps the foremost scholar on the subject-calls the "Golden Age of Black Nationalism," which lasted until the imprisonment of Marcus Garvey in 1925.[2] During this period people like Martin Delaney, the "Grandfather of Black Nationalism," made plans to relocate African Americans back to the Africa. Nationalism also took hold among very educated "elites." Whereas Black Nationalism in Garvey's time, and later during the 1960s, came primarily from the working class, some of the most bourgeois and formally educated African Americans in the nineteenth century espoused emigration schemes and black self-sufficiency.[3]

The emergence of Marcus Garvey's United Negro Improvement Association and African Communities League in 1914 marked the beginning of the largest movement of blacks in American history. Garvey drew on Pan-Africanism and wanted ultimately to move African Americans back to Africa, but he also advanced the idea of black economic self-sufficiency as a principal part of the UNIA platform.[4]Garveyism specifically represented two of the three main strands of Black Nationalism: cultural and political nationalism. Garvey's Negro Factories Corporation manufactured black dolls, sponsored black beauty contests, and published high-fashion photos of black women.[5] The Negro Factories Corporation also started black-owned neighborhood businesses to provide services to communities like Harlem.

Its common sense. If you're doing pretty good in a particular system, you're not gonna be fighting it.

Yeah, what about MLK who sacrificed his upper middle class living to do good for his people? Even Malcolm in his lower class living will not defend black folk that kill other black folk.

You're naming the figureheads....a handful of people.

There were MILLIONS of blacks fighting for our rights. I'm telling you and history is telling you, the wide majority of those people were working class blacks.

For some reason, people fail to realize that the lionshare of the Black nationalists were inner city, lower class black folk.

I.E. Hood nikkas.

Middle and Upper-Middle class blacks weren't fighting the system in great numbers. Why would they want to fukk up their lovely situation?

With a leader and a common objective, these hood nikkas that you're so ready to dispose of, become a huge problem for the white establishment.

every large scale social justice movement starts from your working class of society, middle class and rich folks aren't overthrowing shyt

Did you even READ this? And if so how did you gather that from it.

Those working class black folk will never have the Chris Dorner mentality. They have the Jim Jones mentality that backstabs for a chance for more attention/ money. Many black folk are corrupted by capitalism and hyper materialism that causes many of us to be like that. Especially in the Crack Era onward. \\

No they don't. This is some bullshyt you got from other misinformed people.

I work with inner city kids and their parents, and the majority of them respect someone like myself. They want to see those undesirables removed from the community just like we do.
