:lupe: and if so once we make contact will humanity finally unite and realize our differences are truly things to scofff at and use a common enemy to create balance?

Of course there are probably war like aliens and if they pocess the tech for interstellar travel they could have tech that'll wipe out entire species in an instant. The universe is billions of years old. There are probably civilization peaceful and warlike that have come and gone.

What do you mean ?:lupe:
It's just a chemistry term for carbons double bonded together in a ring of 6 carbon atoms.

Aromatic rings
(also known as aromatic compounds or arenes) are hydrocarbons which contain benzene, or some other related ring structure. Benzene, C6H6, is often drawn as a ring of six carbon atoms, with alternating double bonds and single bonds: This simple picture has some complications, however.

Which would be scarier a race of stupid but deadly aliens like the aliens movie
Or a race of super technologically advanced hunters like in Predator?
I think the Xenomorphs were far from stupid, their intelligence was never documented but I always assumed they were a lot smarter than most of the species that inhabit Earth, excluding humans of course. But I can see how one would assume they weren't too intelligent considering they were hive mind. I would love to entertain the idea of humanoid aliens with the technology for interstellar-travel but I just can't. Those aliens definitely aren't in our system and the nearest star system is a three star system that is more than 4 light years away. If there are planets orbiting the two main stars, they aren't going to be planets that would support any type of lifeforms. lol
