It shows it can work when your first party titles development cost aren’t astronomically high.
This is really the answer. Sony can't afford to keep FFVII Rebirth and God of War Ragnarok off of PCs when they're running $200 million budgets like they're fukking MCU films or something.

I remember this conversation a few gens ago and I think its about time we rehash and remind what is reality for most of us I assume :manny:

First off, fukk Nintendo. I mean, they cool but they greedy as fukk now and they not family friendly which is supposed to be their demographic
They supposed to have two controllers and a pack in game. That's the Nintendo way, its now about paper more than it is about building a family like atmosphere. I mean, they have it but you gotta pay out the ass crack to outfit a family of 4+

But with that said, Nintendo is not even a Starter console, its a bench console. It's something you have on top of your real console. Or its for your kids. Most Next gen games don't even come out on Nintendo so I fully understand you can play games that are not mainstream but as far as Nintendo exclusives? They great, it keeps Nintendo afloat. But they not as special as they used to be. They don't seem to be innovating like they used to either. If there is a Switch 3 then Nintendo and "innovation" will no longer be synonymous.

I have a switch and my kids prefer Gamepass. They have no shortage of switch games either, they prefer Minecraft/among us. Lame shyt imo

I mean that's how modern Nintendo found success. Being some people's first choice but everyone's second choice. I bet around 2/3rds of the people that own a Switch also own another gaming platform and don't consider the Switch their main platform.

With the price bump on the Switch 2 it's gonna be harder to maintain that second choice status.
100%.

I got a Wii, Wii U and Switch.

Probably spent no more than 80 hours max playing on all three.....COMBINED.

Switch is fun when I'm in the mood, but there's almost always something on PS5/Xbox that's getting my attention. They got their niche and are comfortable there.....feels stagnant.

The year 3030
Up until recently, all Nintendo had is games. If that didn't work out it's back to trading cards and maybe some movies. So they have to have exclusives. Look at SEGA. They tried to do exclusives, got bought out and had to find roommates. Nintendo just played the hands they were dealt a lot better, but it's not sound business at all.

At the end of the day if all you have is gaming you gonna have to open that side door and let some air in somewhere. Nintendo can afford to have exclusives rn, but they let another Wii U or two come around and it's curtains for them. And they don't have another sector to fall back on (they're aware of this now though). Thats why Iwata had to skip a few bento boxes to keep from laying folks off and we got those mobile games. And why Microsoft got Sony stans preordering Gears of War finally. Let's not forget Nintendo done had some dark days.
you, me and probably many of your kids kids will be dead before that happens.

If you give AF about selling hardware, yes you need exclusives lol
Meanwhile, name 3 PC exclusives that we give a damn about :popcorn3:
Bruh you are such a spin artist. The Switch 2 is going to toe to toe with the Series S in a portable format.
Which came out 6yrs ago but was the underpowered version of the series X. The one X could do 4k better than the series s but can't run modern games as well as the series s

So like everyone saying, you didn't make a point here. You made our point. And the series s could be had for as low as $200 new a bunch of times.

You act like every gaming isn't dealing with big budgets. Sony can't afford because Sony made bad business decisions like funding concord, destroying Destiny, investing in live service games when it's not what they do.

They not doing what they known for either other than nickel and diming its consumers. Seems like a Japanese thing. All of toss is public information just in case you want to cross reference anything I just spoke on :handshake:

They supposed to have two controllers and a pack in game.

You get a pair of joycons which are 2 separate controllers. And you can buy Mario kart included.
:myman:

Now that I think about it, the original Wii might've only come with 1 Wii mote and nunchuk, but you got wii sports. Wii-u came with the gamepad, but you could use your wii-motes if you had them.
