To counter the thread title, how do you not remember Court's "this week in gaming" threads that have always had a number of xbox exclusives he felt nikkas were sleeping on? He would message me in-game talkin bout "check this game out" often.

Exclusives were a priority for sony stans this gen because A) you lost the online service battle and B) you lost in multiplat game performance multiple times. This was with the "more powerful" system. Exclusives were literally the only thing you were able to use in the console war and even that's not without huge debate

Um no, Once again the reason while I'm buying a X1 is because of a exclusive game. That game is Forza 5. I'm a gear head at heart. To me forza is better than Sony's gt games. If Sony was going to try and win me over they will have to do better than that Drive Club bullshyt. That game looks horrible. I believe forza horizon looks better. Add in Titan Fall and Dead rising 3

Exclusives matter in terms of getting people to initially purchase the system. I bought my 360 when Gears came out and my PS3 for MGS4. Honestly if MGS4 wasn't exclusive to the PS4 I still may not have one. That's not saying I didn't enjoy Uncharted 2, Demons Souls, and Infamous.

So when people bring up the difference in exclusives now its because we are starting from a clean slate and there needs to be a reason to buy one console over the other. As it stands right now the XB1 has shown more exclusive games I am interested in, so why would I buy a PS4 instead? I'm always online and I don't trade or rent games so the DRM is a non-factor in my decision.
