Console Purchase Question

I am thinking about jumping on that $175 trade in going on at Best Buy right now (PS3 slim for a PS4). I have been using my ps3 mostly for playing video files lately. Not much gaming due to a lack of time. But now that I am in chill mode in my new house I am interested in trying to get back into it. Should I jump on this deal (it expires on the 6th), or should I wait until a new version of the PS4 eventually drops?

I read some report on Flipboard yesterday about 2 new PS4's being released but they didn't announce a release date. Most likely it will be announced at E3. One PS4 is going to come with 1TB of space, not sure about the other one.

This is exactly what makes me consider doing it.
Is the PS4 that much better than the PS3 tho? Like a significant step forward? Or more like a Windows Vista step forward?

What do you want to play on PS4?

PS4 has great games, but I don't know your tastes at all. Rocket League, Helldivers, Bloodborne, Second Son are all games PS4 owners should have tho

I was a hardcore pc gamer so I never made the transition to console gaming other than sports and fighting games. But i would like to play more. I don't enjoy playing FPS on consoles, so maybe 3rd person. I just finished building a dedicated theater room with a 106" screen so i am dying to play something good in there.

yea they dont do media servers or dlna, but its a fine console. go for the deal

Breh you saved me a ton of money
I have a 120GB slim PS3 just sitting there I have dying to get rid off. I have a PS4 and a one already but it will be easier to off load own of the newer consoles
