Ya know...one of these days, Black folk...mainly us Black BROTHERS are gonna see the Light. We're gonna see that nothing is impossible if we all come together, STICK together, have faith in the very GOD that put us here and brought us to this point.

Because obviously our futile attempts at achieving our destiny hasn't worked.

It's time to re-draw the blueprints. But we'll get no where it we keep failing to acknowledge the Master Builder.

A few Floors Down from the Daily Grind
I just wanted to say that the average white person spends zero part of their day thinking about racial inequality, for better or for worse. That means the thought of holding back black males from living well is on their mind just as much as understanging white privledge and looking to change the system is.

I think it will take a real upward movement towards something from the black community itself to seperate the whites who would become threatned by that movement and show their true colors and the unengaged whites who would stand up and support it.

I think we need to fix the anti-intellectual atmosphere that exists in the united states first. Things like sciences (mathematics, space discovery, nanotechnology etc..) are reserved for people we see as "nerds".

If we remove the negative connotation of being a "nerd" you'd be surprised at how many people would find interests in intellectual things.

This sentiment isn't exclusive to us blacks, but to the American public in general. Look the reduced funding to NASA as an example. Granted there are more things us tax dollars could be spent on, but it's funny how the program that advances science the most is the first one to get reduced.

It's not reserved. People just reject intellectual challenge. I remember in HS people used to look at me weird because Math was easy to me.

Like i said before too many people take the easy route and wanna major in bullshyt in college.

  • Everyobody is a business administration major
  • Everybody is a psychology major
  • Everybody is a communications major
  • Everybody is a marketing major

They run away from anything that involves doing math

Not everybody is built for math. Why is that so hard for you all to grasp? The day everyone can pursue these STEM fields is the day the compensation drops drastically.
it's not about being built for mathematics. Its about being in a culture that doesn't foster that kind of thinking from an early age. Take a look at nationalities that excell in mathematics (i.e. China). They aren't genetically predisposed to be good at math, its just the Chinese culture is centered around arithmetic, so much that they are taught math very early.

Its just a matter of valued skill sets, we teach our kids to focus on communication and socializing at an early age, while they teach them math.

You mean the Finance and Statistics area of Business Admin requires math, yes. The rest of the major is vague and general as fukk. Might as well be liberal arts.

Does it go beyond College Algebra and Statistics?

When I say Math im talking Calculus, Calculus II, Differential equations, Calculus III

And i dont know why some people Statistics to be hard. I slep through half that class and still wound up with an A. The class that really killed me was Calc II. Sh!t had me questioning my career path
