After skimming through the posts in the "legally opting out of being a parent" thread, I'm sorry to say but the only people "destroying Black boys" are Black people, Black men in particular. The complete aversion to taking care of your own seed was disheartening to read in that thread, real talk

I understand history and the system set up to make it harder for us to succeed, but a lot of the really simple stuff we can do and can control in our own communities we neglect to. Black American culture right now is completely and utterly ass backwards in regards to progress.

:whew:

I have to agree with this entire post.

This is why I disagreed when someone said Black American Culture is "socially conservative".

Indians, Koreans and a lot of African immigrant groups are socially conservative.

Black American Culture? :snoop: The majority of this board is anti-marriage, pro drug abuse(especially marijuana). When I visit any majority AA board women dominated it is the same thing.

Simple ways to not be in the poor house.

1. Graduate high school

2. No OOW children

3. Marriage

4. Full-time job

Three rules for staying out of poverty | jacksonville.com

Now look at all four and look at Black Americans.

OOW children :snoop:

Anti-Marriage :snoop:

Pro drug abuse(marijuana). :snoop: How the fcku does that make you employable when you got a charge?

Graduate High School :snoop:
Researchers found that graduation rates vary by race, with 91.8 percent of Asian students, 82 percent of whites, 65.9 percent of Hispanics and 63.5 percent of blacks graduating on time.

High school graduation rate rises in U.S. - The Washington Post

Now you wonder why Asians(including Indians) are some of the most successful people in this country. They tend to be the most socially conservative and ACTUALLY PRACTICE IT.

The foundation is completely broken. Black Americans are skipping steps thinking they can duplicate what white Americans do. Their foundation is more in tact so when they make these mistakes coupled with white racism, it's not as damaging.

I dapped this because it's on the right track, but you have to ask yourself "why and how did it turn out this way?"

Every symptom has an illness. Every illness has a source.

I agree with a few posters who say that quite a few people in here constantly lean on the excuse of slavery, social engineering, being "set up" etc as reason for irresponsible behavior. It's just that, an excuse and an easy way out. Once you become knowledgeable of your own behavior, then it is your responsibility to turn it around and no one elses. All this talk about where it began is complete BS.

We got to start holding people's feet to the fire.

I get on brothas and sistas if I see them smoking them cancer sticks :birdman:

When I see a dude acting a fool, I just strike up a conversation to see where their head is at. My wife gets on me because of it. She's always like "why you talking to random strangers at the gym, grocery store etc":lolbron:

It's the mentor-ship that is lacking. Just dropping a line or two in a younger dudes ear can motivate that person or make that kid think twice about his/her future.

My wife and I were out to dinner last night and there was a cat sitting by himself. I asked if he wanted to join us. Of course my wife is like :dwillhuh::wtb:.

Me: :lolbron:

Brotha ended up being West African with two degrees, international business and economics. He congratulated my wife on being in Law school and told me I needed to go as well. I was thinking about it after my wife completes hers but that's what I'm talking about. MENTOR-SHIP. I'm a grown ass man and I still need mentor-ship! Mark Zuckenberg(sp) needs mentor-ship! I got his number and who knows, we might be talking about some business in the future. But here is a guy who doesn't know my wife and I from jump and is instructing us, giving us guidance. Here am I accepting that knowledge and taking it to heart.

Where are the brothas and sistas guiding each other through life? Get some of these young dudes who got a job and no education, information on enrolling in a local CC. Just a class or two a semester. Just get some credits under their belt. Let them see that the more schooling, the more money.

im sorry but i am not buying this..dude sounds like a person angry at the white man so making excuses why black people are being held down and pointing fingers at the white man....black people for the most part will be behind because of the stuff that is done to hold ourself back...I cant even go to the mall without seenin ******* pants hanging off their @ss, its disgusting and things like this makes the white look down on us, im black and I feel disgusted so imaging what they are saying. These articles that I see about 26 shot in Chicago in 1 night...dont blame that on whiteman blacks are killing each other over ignorance, but i still hear.."blacks arent making guns its in the system to have us kill ourselves excuses"..

Until black people can grasp that they are only hurting themselves this **** will keep going on for generations because our kids and kids kids are being exposed to this and think its the norm.

**** this conspiracy video, oh and that light skinned supremacy thing is garbage, only a insecure black person will feel a light skinned brother is superior because he is lighter..this dude is just trying to brainwash people and get a following.

I strongly disagree...he talks about self accountability and taking control form within the community, if he was solely blaming white people he would be looking for a solution through white people.

You said that light skin supremacy doesn't exist...have you seen some of the posts in this forum alone, let alone what you see on twitter? :what:

Also, part of inferiority is worrying about how white people view us. How often, if ever, have you hear a white person say "black people will look down on us"? Never. So if they not thinking about you, why the hell are you thinking about them?

Look, first let's clear up something. Let's clear up this myth. This common perception that we always want to "blame whitey" for everything wrong in the black community.

Understand something here; black women are submissive and respectful as fukk towards white men, on both the conscious and subconscious level. You have chicks on here and elsewhere in society promoting black woman/white male relationships as if they are apex of one's existence. These women spread anti black male propaganda that would be welcomed on st0rmfr0nt.

Then you have black males. They'll blame every problem in the history of the world on a black woman. If it rains and ruins a cookout, somehow, someway, a black woman was involved.

So on the whole, when we grouse about our station in life, we look within. We point fingers at each other. Sometimes the white man has to sit under the interrogation lamps, but hey, he's the root cause. He should have to sweat every now and again.

What we have going on right now are a bunch of single mothers and under employed/unemployed males and wards of the penal system slap fighting with each other. Then the more upwardly mobile among us join the fray and it's an all out civil war.

I have a question? Has anyone ever seen the medications of a cancer patient? I have. They come through my airport often as Houston is a leading city for cancer research and treatment. Anywhoodles, the cancer patients typically have pain medication and a giant bottle of what I call "oral swallow." These medications treat the symptoms of cancer, which is great. It's a good thing, but the cancer is there. And everyone knows and acknowledges that. It'd be foolish not to.

Our race is a body. This black body, the most advanced spiritually (not just referring to religion), mentally, and physically with the best aesthetics is riddled with cancer. When some among us provide another tired spin on the bootstrap rhetoric it is a good thing. They mean well. They're prescribing a bit of oral swallow and we need that. It's going to help ease these symptoms that tear our body apart. But you can't administer the swallow and deny the cancer. You can't fight the symptoms and deny the sickness.

My people we have cancer. It's not terminal, though it has tried it's damndest to take us out. In fact it's in remission. We ARE taking action and relieving those symptoms. But don't forget for a second that this cancer still racks our body with pain. Don't forget the source of these symptoms.

Understanding where WE as a people began is VERY important in understanding where we are going. There are SO MANY social constructs that white folks have instilled in black ppl that now we just write them off as being normal.

Jim Crow Laws

We will never get ahead until we RECOGNIZE the mental slavery that is still present today. Its not BLAME when youre telling the TRUTH. Our black children need to know about the things that REALLY went on in the history of African Americans.

The real question is why are so many white folks against this HISTORY being revealed. Why does it make y'all so uncomfortable to discuss FACTS about what you did to black ppl? Why do u pretend like the 400 years of oppression, beatings, rape, and social deconstruction of the black family have nothing to do with the present state of black ppl in this country?

WHY ARE U ASHAMED OF YOUR HISTORY?

I get what your saying, but I don't buy it man. I've heard these type of rebuttles 10 times over. The fact of the matter is, ALOT of the problems that you see with black folks today have nothing to do with the past 100 years. 50 years ago, blacks as a family and as a community were pretty well intact, despite greater levels of poverty. Most children were born in wedlock, most blacks put a premium on education, crimes in the black community were not at the astronomical rates that we have today; and most importantly...our grandmothers weren't spreading their ass cheeks on webcams and sending random nikkaz pics.

Not that I'm looking to turn this into a political thread, but I will say that a Black Republican Larry Elder said it best; there are 3 things that you can do and your life at minimum will turn out OK, and those 3 things are: 1) Finish High School 2) Don't have any children out of wedlock and 3) Don't have any felonies. From what I can tell, most of us who are falling behind fall into 1 of those 3 or a combination of them. And as far as I'm concerned, with the exception of the most difficult circumstances, all of those are within an individual's control.

Haven't watched the vid but black people need to stop playing the victim and stfu and try to better themselves. There are no conspiracy theories to destroy you, nikkaz just want money and act in a certain thuggish way coz they want women and nice things but arnt willing to work hard over a long period of time for it.
