go all the way to the end of Flatbush...go past the Mall, go past the Belt Parkway...on the left there will be an old airport.
it is the size of 3 Brooklyn neighborhoods.

go there when the weather is nice and take a bike.
you can ride around there for hours.
there are trails in the woods and small beaches on the water.

Fort Tilden is just over the bridge from there and it is amazing as well.
I'll definitely check it out. I've been past Kings Plaza a bunch of times, never really checked it out. Is it legal to be there? Like its not trespassing?

On rent.com the cheapest apartments in NYC was 1.5k a month...I know everybody over there ain't rich how yall do it??? :dwillhuh:

Breh their are plenty of apartments in NYC for below 1,500k a month. Probably not in the LES, but in Washington Heights, Inwood, the Bronx, etc.

Plus, BK is becoming extra hipster :scusthov: Im tired of seeing the shyt now.

Well if you move downtown, you're in for a treat. :pachaha: It's the same shyt. They moved from Downtown Manhattan, over the Williamsburg Bridge into BK and spread through Brooklyn. Same dingy bars, vegan restaurants and boutique bakeries in LES that you'll find in gentrified BK.

NY as a whole might be covered in these trust-fund hipsters.

some other places to check out around there:

Marine Park Salt Marsh :ehh:
not popping but it's a cool spot to walk around and look at the water.
Plumb Beach :takedat:
super tiny beach...on a summer day it's all you.
Gerritsen Beach :dwillhuh:
same as Plumb Beach...it's where the chick was set on fire.

little gems in Brooklyn that nobody knows about.
it's crazy.

i lived in BK for a hot minute and found these places but when i talked to people who lived there for their whole life and told them about these places they looked at me like :rudy:

I don't live in NY but my mom's side of the family does. So just to add on to what everyone's saying most of the high rents are in areas where you don't need a car anymore so you can basically disregard car insurance for Metrocards. There's cheaper parts outside of Manhattan though.
