There were a couple defensive plays I watched when MSU played Jacksonville State last week and thought to myself 'if this were against Oregon, these plays would have been TDs for the Ducks.'
Most notably was a pass up the middle where the Spartan MILB had to cover a RB and it was completed for a 20+ yard game...against the Oregon speed, that's gone to the house. Jacksonville State went back to that a few times but by then the game was out of hand and our second string was in. Others were plays where the ball was caught by their receivers and the MSU defender made a big hit and the receiver dropped the ball. Against Oregon's caliber of athletes some/most of those plays are actually completed.
We also had some injuries which I've read that all these players will be 'good to go' on Saturday, but one was a player that left on cruches, one is our starting RB and one is a O-lineman that would have to be replaced by a true frosh. It's supposed to be in the 90s on Gameday so the RB and OL rotation will be important.
I expect it to be a B1G title game type of back-n-forth scoring affair (like last year against OSU and 2011 against UW) with multiple lead changes and momentum switches. If the score is like the 2013 B1G title game, then MSU wins, if it's like the 2011 title game then MSU will lost.
Just my .02
