His outdated brand of wrestling 'comedy' didn't work in AEW and it would quickly wear thin with WWE's modern audience. One big return pop, a short nostalgia-driven honeymoon period, and the comedic value of how savagely he'll get clowned for the rest of his run are basically all he brings to the table at this stage.
