low key wouldn’t be surprised if Tozawa got released for some reason
:whoa: He's safe. They need him to train the roster.

it’s funny bc Booker & Bubba Ray had a back & forth awhile back about Rox..Bubba said he doesn’t want her to get called up if they don’t have long term plans for her bc she’ll get lost in the mix, Booker response was her talent would propel her anyway but I tend to agree with Bubba..I thought Book was being sensitive, I like Roxi but she could easily get lost in the sauce on the main roster..Steph is one of the few ppl in NXT whose a home run bc of her presentation & history

If Roxanne has a story and a role doing something then her talent can shine through. New people like Jacob Fatu, Bron and Tiffany were put immediately in spots where stars sold for them. People like Cameron Grimes and Indi Hartwell were definitely thrown out there

Why they don’t do more coming soon vignettes is beyond me.

I think it's because now there's too much visibility to metrics that make them scared to actually just debut people on an actual schedule they can stick to that they can stick to without continually pushing it back. Otherwise, you end up with the never ending promos they had for Veer Mahaan. Ironically, even though it was an established name, they have proof it can work with the Penta promos.

I get accused of fantasy booking when I'm doing simple math.

HHH has favorites, his "good hands," and his projects.

Bobby Lashley got released because he didn't fit the mold (vet who won't ask for big money and just put over young talent like Austin Theory or his favs, like Bray (RIP)

Ced can wrestle like any of these indy f*cks and has a "classic" NXT moment with "Papa H," he don't fit the mold--and I'm not doing race here.

It's clear as day why certain young ppl are booked well behind their talent.
  • Tiffany - Blonde bimbo build
  • Bron - Wrestling family (Bron my boi, but he's a bootleg heel Golderberg down to the tattoo RN)
  • Braun Stroman - Vet Big Man who will never sniff a title or ask for a big contract ever again
  • Valkryie - Becky's home girl
  • Dom - Wrestling family; meme
  • Raquel - Not young, but, she can't go in the ring, but, she's one of his NXT babies who prolly does want she's told
HHH does not build stars--he has not yet--Rhea was in Wrestlemania title matches

We been watching HHH for a solid three years of being the head booker and two of being hte sole booker.

His playbook is so transparent.

What's confusing is that this "We don't see a figure for you" approach to min-maxing the roster is that if we're being brutally honest with ourselves, if that logic were applied in the 90s, Triple H himself would've gotten clapped up. He was pure midcard gatekeeper to main event status material until the decision was made to book him differently. Quiet as kept, they desperately need new faces that matter added to the rotation at all levels of the card, but for whatever reason, he seems unwilling to just book people into relevance.

Honestly they seem to be afreaid of changing the main event scene and it hurts other talent, if there are no new main eventers then there are no new mid carders.

One thing to note about the top talent, they are getting up there in age

Seth, Gunther, Roman, Cody, Drew, and Jey are pushing 40

KO, Sami, Priest, and Orton are over 40

Punk, Cena, Sheamus, and AJ are pushing 50

Obviously right now it doesn’t matter because a lot of those guys are doing some of their best work but eventually they’re gonna have to create some younger stars. They’ve done a great job of establishing younger female talent but right now outside of Bron Breakker, there’s nothing on the men’s side.

Can’t fully buy into Vinci getting fired cause of Tiffany.

There’s so much more finer women on that roster and ain’t super plastic like Tiffany without having to dirty-mack

I said in one of my "rant" threads, there is no mid-card.

The Main Event has been

The Anoaʻi Family
Cody
Seth
Punk
Gunther
Drew
Kevin
Sami
Rhea Ripley/The Judgement Day

for the last three calendar years.

Since the built to WrestleMania 38 in LA.

If you don't fit in there, you are expendable across both shows.

The weekly shows suffer because it's filled with matches with people we know don't really matter once the PLEs come.

Tony should definitely bring in Cedric and Vinci. Alba Fyre immediately when she’s released. Maybe Sonya with the gimmick she had in 2020

Stephanie really saved his career, because when he & Chyna separated Chyna became the bigger mainstream star and he was just upper midcard. HHH beat Rock a million times and it just made Rock more popular than him. :russ:
