She should just go back to NXTNA, maybe being in that WWE sphere will get her back in shape and she can just be one of those working coach type vets that’s always needed when working with young and inexperienced talents.

I like Deonna tbh, but she's got herself into a difficult spot.

Interesting to see what direction they go with the Pure Tournament in ROH if it ever actually kicks off... you'd think she'd be a front-runner, but when they announced it they made it feel like it was going to be a vehicle for someone like Aminata to ascend.

You've also got people like Deeb competing for the best technician image and she's probably more established with the fans even though Deonna's been around a while now.

I don't really want to see her disappear, but I'd fight to keep Taya before Deonna :yeshrug:

Her character work has been unremarkable, which is not particularly surprising, but her in-ring work in AEW has been pretty disappointing. Her ring work ranks so far down the list, when combined with her regular complaining online, that I would be surprised if AEW even offered her a new deal.
That's the head-scratching part. The Virtuosa is very good in the ring, but it's like she just mailed it in during her AEW run.
I often talk about people going to AEW to get an easy bag and to ride the clock, but it seems like that's exactly what Deonna did.

Taya is a decent in-ring worker and at least has some personality. She has been entertaining in the hits I’ve seen of her with MxM.

Like in AEW it’s not a death sentence if you can’t get over with your work rate (Britt, Outrunners, for example), but if you can’t there then you need to with your promos, charisma, and character work, and that’s Deonna’s weakness.

Speaking of Taya, where :dahell: is John Morrison?

Exactly. I thought she could make a very good fit in AEW because the in-ring is where she excelled. But they sent her down for a match in CMLL that was so bad that CMLL apparently doesn’t want her coming back.

Maybe she’s got shyt going on and hasn’t been in the right headspace. Based on that interview she did where she talked about body shaming she got on the internet, she might not be mentally equipped to handle the spotlight. You can’t be a national tv wrestler, especially when you’re a woman, and be going on social media after every match airs vanity searching for feedback from the toxic IWC.

Want feedback? Listen to the crowd, talk to Tony, talk to coaches and producers, talk to other talent in the locker room, talk to Steve Maclin (her husband who wrestles in TNA for the unaware) and other friends in the wrestling business if if they can be trusted to give an honest opinion on the performance.

According to Fightful, WWE is interested in Leyla Hirsch as a referee

they sick of the two female refs towering over Zelina and Roxy.

Also: y'all stop being mean to Box Body Bae Deonna! On her worst day she's still a upper third ring worker for the women over there. One of them dudes could use a female valet that can get involved in fukkery. Hell, put her with Big Bill; how's her moonwalk?
