To be clear, whether he's trolling or not it's still lil hoe shyt; even more hoeish if it's fake.
Absolutely. And he's one of my favorite artists.

It feels like a waste of time to keeping talking about this, but I'd just like to add that it's entirely possible that some of these guys have such bad communication skills that Conway could have grievances that he his people aren't aware of. I don't find it likely, but anytime you have people posting like this on social media instead of communicating between each other, you just never know.

I don’t know first hand, but in my opinion, Conway appears to have accepted his diagnosis for Bell’s palsy, otherwise he could be using Botox which has been proven to be effect in facial paralysis to make the face more symmetrical.
This is a very interesting point. I'm sure there would be some cynics that might say he's not making any efforts to alter his face back closer to how it was for marketing reasons. However, based on a lot of things he's said about it, and the fact that many people choose to keep scars and deformities after significant life altering events, I'd put him in that 2nd category. As you clearly know, some people still like to keep the reminder, even if it is unpleasant or painful.

Conway was there for one of the games however he was seated alone in the nosebleed section, while Benny was in the sky box section of the arena with his entourage
He's definitely become more withdrawn and lost in his art during the pandemic. He has stayed hunkered down in a basement recording a ton of music and been a lot more socially withdrawn. The main reason he didn't film that Conflicted movie is because he wanted to work on music instead.

Been meaning to ask you. I know Griselda had the Shady distribution deal but do you think it affected their impact or music as a whole or was that mostly Gunn's hustle?

Good question. I'm not really sure. At face value I want to say a lot has been their hustle, and the connections to Jay-Z have helped a lot. I think it's bizarre that WSG, Conway, and the trio signed a distribution deal with Shady and those are the only 3 projects without physical copies.
:dwillhuh:
That being said, it does seem like once they got signed to Shady, they suddenly started doing freestyles on Flex, Sway, and were on Jimmy Fallon, etc. They haven't had to sacrifice much by being on Shady. :manny: It's just a distribution deal and not a record deal, and they've been allowed to drop all the music they want independently.

Besides any frustrations they've had with the albums they've wanted to release on Shady, I think I'll probably view it as a net gain when it's all said and done. Especially now that there's only one album left on Shady and Conway is saying they're actually clearing some unexpected samples and features, and that he's happy with the final stages of the process, and is mostly getting to drop this upcoming God Don't Make Mistakes album as he wanted it to be.

I'm excited for the Drumwork thing. Good for him for wanting to expand his business. He showed himself to be a good A&R and executive producer in 2020 too. I don't love female emcees but 7xve is not bad, and neither is Jae.

You think he's leaving the group?

I don't think he'll leave the group. I think them being family makes that too unlikely, and he definitely doesn't have any artistic grievances. I think he's either half-trolling and there's no real problem, or the issue is a business issue, and they'll collaborate artistically, but he may just release his music through his own label instead of both. For example FKTAG released through Griselda and Drumwork (his label). One one of the live streams he made it sound like he just wanted to release through Drumwork alone without Griselda, but that would just be a financial thing, and it wouldn't mess with the music.

At the end of the day I don't think he's going to leave a group that's literally his family and that he helped build. With social media we get to see way more drama, and like someone else said, if social media had been around in the Wu/Mobb/Outkast/Tribe/Slum days, who knows what type of drama we might have seen that ultimately worked out okay.

I think it'll all be fine. IMO they been through too much shyt together for them not to work out any differences.

Arent these dude like 40
Close. Mid-late 30's. Too old for this shyt. At the same time, Havoc was cailling Prodigy gay and they were beefing in their 40's, and Tribe had beef in their 40's. Little Brother had beef in their 30's/40's. Some of the Wu members aren't that cool and they're all pushing 50 or older.

I think if social media had been around in the golden era we would've seen a lot more of our favorite artists acting like bytches. :yeshrug:
