Yesterday, Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane was attacked and beaten in jail by a convicted murderer who his lawyer said "had it out for him."
Gucci aka Radric Davis is in isolation for his own protection today after he was beaten in jail yesterday. Mane sustained bruises and cuts to his face and his tooth was knocked out after he was attacked with what his attorney believes was either a rock or piece of hard soap.
"I visited Mane in jail yesterday after someone beat him upside his face," his attorney, Dennis Scheib told SOHH.com. "His tooth was knocked out and his face was swollen. He got hit 5 or 6 times in the face by something hard."
Mane's attacker is now in solitary confinement. Scheib tells SOHH.com that Gucci has no idea why the man attacked him, but that a threatening note had been left for him in his cell that said, "Gucci your dead." Schieb is currently trying to get him into a safer prison while he awaits his October 4th trial date.
