JAMEIS WINSTON VS. REFEREE
A ref got in Jameis Winstons way as the QB attempted to run a play, so what did Famous Jameis do? Start shoving the referee.

not true at all.
Alabama has 3 wins this season that were decided by ONE possession or less
(2 of which are currently unranked teams)
Florida State has 6 wins this season that were decided by ONE possession or less
(4 of which are currently unranked teams)
you said -
"THey just don't care....wtf is "escapes" and "again" but when Alabama beats a team by the same margin or in the same way it becomes.
"Late Field goal lifts Alabama over"
take a look back at the ESPN headlines from all three of those Alabama games mentioned above that they won by one possession and you will find that ESPN uses the EXACT SAME WORDS you are talking about
the only one they didn't is when Alabama knocked off the #1 team in the country!
CASE AND POINT:
vs Arkansas - see that word "escape" ?? they even threw in "to escape another SEC loss" as well
![]()
vs LSU - there's that nasty word "escape" that they only use for FSU again!
![]()
vs Mississippi State who was #1 at the time and #4 currently

Dude that is this year after the rolling stone article came out

Yeah...good try tho. At least get ya facts right. Only one was done before.
ANd thats just bama...I didn't even bother to grab others.

funny how you complete ignore the facts about what the original topic was about. we were talking about the one possession WINS vs unranked (along with ranked) teams. the four examples that you just gave are terrible examples. let's break it down
- LSU was #1 in the country, Bama was #2
- Georgia was #3 in the country, Bama was #2
- Mississippi State was unranked and Alabama beat them by TWO POSSESSIONS
- Texas A&M was #6 in the country, Alabama was #1
the common denominator in 3 out of 4 of those one possession wins is that they played highly ranked teams (#1, #3, #6). the Mississippi State game they won by two touchdowns. what did you want them to say in the headlines? something like this? -
"Alabama gets stomped out 9-6 by #1 LSU!"
"Alabama lucks up and squeaks past #3 Georgia!"
"Alabama barely escapes Mississippi State by 13 points!"
"Alabama limps and crawls to the finish line against #6 Texas A&M! 49-42"
