Larry is literally my favorite rapper right now.

Dude is literally doing a better west coast/Bay version of what Joey Badass had some real initial potential to do when he dropped 1999. A lot of us thought Joey was gonna blow something serious.

Larry knows his lane, his formula and this dude beat selection will have you feeling like 40, 4 Tay, The Click and Richie Rich could float over his shyt.

Dude isn’t mumbling and pushing the same ol trap beats with the same drums and hi hats that everyone else has been doing for the last 6 years.

I was saying in the last June thread that all it would take for him to blow up blow up would be for a major station to play his shyt at like 5:30 when you driving home from work.

soon as the Deejay see the sun going down, throw on Smoothies in 91 or Lets Drive to Vegas. :mjlol:

He rap so old school but got this like... rick ross methodology to beat selection, it's a HUGE open lane for folks that's tired of what "current rap" sounds like.

Plus his life philosophy would appeal to the "grown folks"

yeah, his camp needs to start sprinkling some bread to some of these drive time DJs and Friday/Saturday night DJs who can actually play shyt that’s not on the corporate approved playlist

Really I don't think he wants to blow up. If he did he'd pay for bigger features or sign to a major.

I think he realizes that his actual core fanbase doesn't care for your typical Drake, Lil Baby, Roddy Rich, etc. feature. I think he did do some songs with Wiz but Wiz actually fits this lane so it makes sense.

Larry popped up randomly on my Spotify one day I said let me see what this dude talking about. I walked away like...
:ehh:

I can see the comparisons to Dom, but Larry is more comparable to Curren$y and Le$ in my opinion.

Very smooth production with very catchy lyrics that stick with you.
