Being able to cook used to be a necessity to survive. Every household needed atleast one person who could do it. shyt wasn't nothing to brag about.
Obviously being a master chef was a different level and viewed as a "talent", but basic cooking was just part of life before fast food became a mainstream thing.

When do you think humans started existing? In the 1900's?
