This year the police have written 100,000 citations to school children in Texas, a million in the entire US, and to children as young as 12. Which forces them into court, fines, and community service.

Now think of the variables of these situations, like not affording court fines.

Police weren't put on these premises to be aggressors and enforcers, but mediators instead.

Regardless, diplomacy must be used before force, and still force must be used accordingly, not full fledged.

Disobedient or not, there is still a problem.

A nursing home is not a classroom. People are not legally required to be in nursing homes, unlike schools. Nursing homes are not public services, they are private enterprises, unlike a public high school. People pay to live in nursing homes, unlike teenagers in a high school. If someone wants to have a cell phone or whatever the fukk else they want to have that isn't a danger to them or others, they have the RIGHT to do so in a nursing home as a paying customer. Students don't enjoy this luxury for all of the reasons I just identified and more.

If there were some policy preventing them from having a cell phone for some silly ass reason and they chose to still use one, they wouldnt be allowed to live there. If a patient has become a threat to themselves or others, then the doctor, social workers, nursing staff, administration, and guardian if they don't have power of attorney over themselves, would develop a behavior plan, which usually includes medication that would prevent this behavior happening in the first place. And if they had dementia, they would be placed on a lockdown dementia unit, where restraints may be used if necessary and where people ARE physically removed from dangerous situations. I'm a nurse, I KNOW WHAT THE FUKK IM TALKING ABOUT. Stop speaking about sh*t you don't know about.

Your "analogy" if I can even call it that has no parallel in a real world setting and doesn't relate to this kid and this cop one iota, other than you wishing it did to try and prove some phantom point.

Whatever you googled isn't even applicable here, it's speaking on children and parenting, not adolescents and non-family authority figures (who happens to be a police officer, not the school counselor).

What warranted her being removed from the class is her behavior becoming problematic in fostering a proper learning environment. The TEACHER decides that, because she (or he) is the one that has to teach the class. It wasn't the cop that made that decision, and it damn sure should never be one of the students.

It took me a minute to evolve from "blacks can do no wrong and are beat down for petty stuff".

I had to embrace we can't save everyone and every black man isn't your brother. That's where we fukking up at.

If this were a white girl being slammed, white people would not just cape for her. Upon finding out she was disrupting the class and being defiant, she would be expelled from their fold and labeled as deserving what she got.

That's how you learn lessons.

I'm not teaching a class and a student I asked to leave decides to leave WHEN THEY WANT TO. That undermines my authority.

I'm not an officer instructing a child to get up and come with me and waiting 15 minutes for them to feel like it. That's undermining my authority. I'm slamming them on their neck too, then dragging them out.

The lesson being taught is: When authority figures give you a lawful request, it's best that you comply.

For all my interactions with police I've never once been beat down. When I'm caught in the wrong, I shut the fukk up and handle it in court.
