Nah man. Evil people. Let's not mince words.
Just a few years ago I could not have imagine we would live in a time when we would be desensitized to seeing innocent black people getting shot and beaten to death on television every day. Now look at us. Death after death after death. We rioted and put our hands in the air a lot of good that did.
I feel like I'm living in a dystopian novel. Like a modern play on 1984.
It's so hard to understands this country. They'll fire a cop for saying the word ****** and then give the next cop a million dollars for killing an innocent black kid. They'll show their true face for a second, say by unanimously supporting the man who killed a black teenager. Then just when you start to think white people really are racist they get all up in arms because someone said something about mexicans.
You're never quite sure what to think It's a constant state of confusion and imbalance that keeps you paralyzed. Say you read 5 news stories this week of cops gunning down innocent black kids. You're overcome with rage and even consider doing something. But then you look on TV and you see a smiling black president. You go to the store and the white cashier smiles in your face and tries to crack a joke. You watch your favorite shows and every commercial has black people and white people smiling and laughing it up at some backyard barbecue.
Nobody else seems to even be aware of the carnage that's going on. It's like bad episode of the Twilight Zone.
And so you swallow your rage. You start to feel a little crazy. "Jeez, I really overreacted back there."
Meanwhile there's 5 black bodies lying in a morgue somewhere. And they'll be 5 more next week. And that friendly cashier who smiled so hard in your face is off posting on the misc about how he hates ******s.
They Live, bro. We all catch glimpses from time to time but it's so much easier to look away and go back to our lives.
