These celebs wanna make a difference then how about making real equity investments in land that people who look LIKE YOU can live on. How about building your own TV network instead of partnering with a CAC media company that lays the ground rules. How about sprinkling a few dollars toward building schools that teach AFRICAN history and the discovering where people of the Disapora come from.

You hit it right on the head. At the end of the day, nothing is gonna get done if you don't have money and organization to enforce your agenda. People are so caught up in social media campaigns and street demonstrations that they don't even think of the money and organizing needed to really get this thing off the ground. When the marches are over, and twitter has moved on to a new cause, what happens then?

Like I said in another thread, marching and protesting is FREE but it hurts nobody's pockets. This country is morally corrupt and the only thing it respects is money and power. If you have none have those, no one is going to come to your defense. Not even the people who have money in your community.
