race - they won't admit - is the first issue at hand (tons of rich blacks have a wake up call when being profiled) look at the Henry Louis Gates thing, there was a black director, don't remember his name, who not too far back had an incident with the police, the list goes on and one. you're identified as black before being identified by income bracket. white people need to get the eff out!

Last time I tried to have an honest debate / conversation things got heated and I was accused of painting white America in broad strokes and lumping them in with the real racists.

Yeah I worked in investment banking for 2 years and now private equity for the last 3 years so I deal with this shyt all the time.

I grew up in Manhattan, and thats why I try to explain to people that just because someone is "liberal" doesn't mean they know shyt or give a fukk about race relations.

Ya I heard about that meet up. I'm going to be out of town at a firm retreat.

NYC is jam packed with fake ass liberals who will march/protest for some "cred" and likes on IG but know damn well they tense up in the presence of a brown face that isn't tame in their fukking office.

I'm in midtown also at a major media company so we get the news unfiltered and its crazy to see shyt operated. A brotha has to REALLLLLLLLLLLY keep his mind in tact around alot of the bullshyt in the office because these fukkers either have no filter or a very jaded one that fails to realize that police brutality is real. But then again, these are the same people who are contributors to what the dominant society is pushing. Its a crazy situation being a black male in corporate with few familiar faces and your lifestyle depends on your work but also you being mentally consistent. I've seen c00ns at my company, institutionalized negroes and then we have some really young cats who are flying so far below their potential that even with being in the building, they don't stand a chance.

We as artists, myself included, all have to step up and be better leaders in our communities. It's a hard burden to bear, but we have been chosen whether we like it or not. We need to do whatever we can in a POSITIVE way, to help unite people of all colors in this injustice! In order to be successful, it is very important that we have a well ORGANIZED, STRATEGIC plan. This is super important in order for us to make change!! REAL organization, REAL strategy and a TRUE commitment to not forget and move on like we usually do when the news stops reporting. This has to stop and we as a people are the only ones that can stop it. I truly do not have the right to preach, but I do have the right to speak. #EricGarner #MikeBrown #UNITE
