a certain poster threw a hissy fit when i pointed out the same thing OP is pointing out a few days ago
So instead we do nothing?
And it took this long for some of you to realize the police would get OT pay to cover these protest. Ok, and so what?
A whole lot of "y'all stupid for protesting" without any suggestions on what to do instead.

Protesting is fine, but if it's not strategic than it's not going to make as much of an impact. Boycotting >>> Protesting.
You want change, start using your consumer power as a whole. When blacks boycotted the buses for Rosa Parks that made an impact that could not be ignored. Now, in 2014 people were talking about boycotting buying shyt on Black Friday and they didn't understand the reason why.
I think it was far more of an inconvenience for people during those times to not ride a bus to get to work than it was for people to simply NOT spend their money over a few days to get back at corporate America. It's not like you needed any of the shyt you got on Black Friday anyway.
But I'm just thinking out loud.

This place is very entertaining, I enjoy posting, reading, etc,..
but then there are threads like these where you realize that the overall collective level of absolute
STUPIDITY here is almost suffocating.
Had the first 3-4 posts on the first page been 'against' OP's opinion, it also would've remained the general consensus throughout this thread.
Just take into account that there's mostly just children here, or highly inexperienced/underdeveloped adults- and because of that, you cannot look too deeply into "opinions" like those expressed within this thread.
