if feel that these protests stem from some of us being frustrated about a lot of things: economic standing, gentrification, unemployment, etc and others just following along but their not the answer.

Do you think more black police officers is the answer?
it may not be but it eases the odds of racism issues in these communities. It's not just black but Hispanic and Asian communities. I don't know about Hispanics but are a lot of blacks looking to be cops? I don't believe so. But how severe is the racism? Obviously blacks and Hispanics gonna be targeted being the majority. Especially in major cities like these. I just saw cities that were diverse listed. No matter the cops race, They gotta do they're job right.

The only way to deal with police brutality is strategically.

The victims family must have the courage to deal with the officers family directly to send a message.

Whether it be physically, emotionally, violently or financially.

We live in a world that respects an eye for an eye no matter if you think that makes everyone blind or not.

Its up to the victims family to take their rage out on the specific police officer responsible.

All these protest are just giving police officers extra overtime money to stand around and do nothing.

Simple minds live by default. Protesting is the default route.
Strategically placing yourself in a better position to make some honest change to your life and those you choose to have around you is the way to go.

And I'm not saying, NEVER PROTEST. I'm just saying at this point, it's being used against the cause. If Sharpton's on my side, I feel like I'm on the wrong team.

Philadelphia Police Spent Nearly $700K on Overtime Covering Recent Protests

http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/news...rtime-Covering-Recent-Protests-285668031.html

The Philadelphia Police Department has spent nearly $700,000 on overtime for policing recent protests in the city related to the deaths of unarmed black men Michael Brown and Eric Garner.

In a two week span, the overtime tab to have officers shut down streets, blockade highway entrances and ensure safe demonstration by protesters has reached approximately $683,000, Philadelphia Police spokesman Lt. John Stanford tells NBC10.
The demonstrations began on the evening of Nov. 24 after a Missouri grand jury declined to indict former Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of Brown, a unarmed black teenager. A little more than a week later, a grand jury in New York City declined to indict a New York Police officer in the chokehold death of Garner. The 43-year-old father was unarmed and the chokehold was caught on video.

Hundreds of people took part in the loud, but peaceful protests that included marches around Center City Philadelphia, North Philadelphia and die-in demonstrations inside 30th Street Station and outside Lincoln Financial Field. During the die-in protests, demonstrators lay down for 4 minutes and 30 seconds to represent the 4 hours and 30 minutes Brown’s body was on the ground after his death.

Protests cost Seattle police more than $500,000 in overtime

SEATTLE - Recent protests have already cost the Seattle Police Department more than a half-million dollars in overtime.

The protests started after two grand jury decisions to not indict the police officers involved in the deaths of two men -- one in Ferguson, Missouri and the other in New York City.

Since November 13, SPD has spent $585,970 in overtime to cover protests. The overtime costs range from as low as $202 on one day to more than $156,000 on another day.

Those totals do not include pay for police officers working their regular shifts.

"Well, I think a lot of people are going to say this is the cost of having this conversation, and we're not going to pass a judgment call. However, we are gonna say this is our budget and we're responsible. So we need to be as smart as possible to say we've done everything we can to insure we are as efficient as possible, not wasteful, not over plan, not under plan," said Sgt Sean Whitcomb.

By comparison, it cost $76,000 in overtime for this year's Rock-and-Roll Marathon, $294,000 for the May Day protests and $462,000 for the Fourth of July.

"It's a massive impact on our department's staffing and it's a significant cost, so you look at that cost from one day alone, it should give some perspective," Whitcomb said.

Department officials said almost daily demonstrations over a long period of time can really add up. So can the danger to officers.

"We have had rocks thrown, we've had bottles thrown, canned goods, bottle explosives thrown at officers, people running on the freeway," said Whitcomb.

After arresting the wrong person due to mistaken identity, police are still looking for two people who they say interfered with the arrest of another suspect who allegedly assaulted an officer. But, police say considering the amount of demonstrations over the past few weeks, the arrests have been relatively few at 23.

Below is a day by day look at the numbers.

· 11/13/2014 $1,324
· 11/17/2014 $5,039
· 11/18/2014 $3,360
· 11/19/2014 $5,081
· 11/20/2014 $202
· 11/21/2014 $935
· 11/24/2014 $101,571
· 11/25/2014 $43,113
· 11/26/2014 $14,419
· 11/28/2014 $82,431
· 11/29/2014 $81,483
· 11/30/2014 $1,332
· 12/01/2014 $156,161

The common sense thing would be for the cities to address why we're protesting....I really don't care how much they make
Like Wilson if they want to score the jackpot they can just kill a black person on/off duty....score million dollar payments, gofundme $, NRA $, interview $, possibly a book deal
