Both.
Don't bullshyt here and act like racism doesn't exist.
How can it be both? The two options are opposing ideas.

The formeryou tell me sir? this is what I'm clearly trying to ask
Is this a case of the cops shooting an unarmed black man? or a case of the cops shooting an unarmed man
The former
The two options are not opposing. They may be separate but they don't oppose each other. How can it be both? The two options are opposing ideas.
Where I'm from, you even step on someone's front yard, you WILL NOT get greeted with any type of hospitality.

Its just that priority is on the racial issue for good reason.
Racism is some kindergarten shyt and for cops to be engaging in such activity is a problem that needs to be addressed ASAP
I understand the woman cuz her her situation she didnt know what was up. She is a normal woman scared for her life, Anybody black or white knocking at your house would cause suspicion in anybody but you got to be retarded to think that the cop who was trained to handle things in a more non lethal way was in any way justified in shooting a man running toward them looking for help. No, they are.
If you think that he was only shot for being black, I then ask was he profiled by the woman in the house for being black too? An issue that you've severely looked over because a cop was involved.
If you think its simply a question of an unarmed man being shot, then you acknowledge that race did not play a factor. You're acknowledging that as long as Ferrell matched the description on the 911 call he would've been shot. In other words your acknowledging that the officer was not mentally capable of being in the field. In other words your acknowledging that he did follow the proper procedures in an unknown environment.

can you really blame a lady for not opening her front door late at night to a complete stranger (while her husband wasn't home) who would obviously be frantic given what just happened? She called the police who should've been able to easily assist and take care of the situation. Had nothing to do with the woman and all to do with the sociopathic and irresponsible actions by the police. How the fukk was the taser unsuccessful? Very very sad situation
I have never understood the rationale behind knocking on a complete stranger's door asking for help. That's what 911 is for.
That said, cop is entirely at fault.

The way your downplaying it as non racist. Please point out in my post where I said the cop was justified.
Cops are supposed to show some responsibility when dealing with people. Not shoot because you're being approached. People get afraid and call 911 all the time. It doesn't mean the responding officer should shoot the first person he sees.We gonna sit here and focus on the cop? Really? Was he not on alert for a thief in the area? Was he not on alert for a thief in the area that fit his description? How does everyone skip over the catalyst event?
Is your rationale that had the thief been described as white, and Ferrell ran towards him, Ferrell would've still been shot?

This fault has to lie on the officer AND the 911 call. You can't even assign full blame until you hear the actual recording. That would answer how someone who is knocking on a persons door is labeled as "breaking and entering." The officer is obviously at fault for not following proper procedure. But c'mon.....
