I was wondering the same thing.
How about a movie on Frederick Douglass? Or Toussaint L'Overture? Or, dare I suggest it, Nat Turner?
Marcus Garvey or a list of other people. I'm sick of seeing re-made movies about slavery, MLK and/or Malcolm X. It's already good movies/documentaries about this stuff, go for something else. There are a lot of books that I would like to become movies as well.

:w3:

If it is the latter then I have an issue with her playing this role. It would be the equivalent of having Cameron Diaz play a Latina character.
