I would agree with this except Cory admitted that he was an absent father.

If you aren't in your kids life, they don't owe you respect. He brought a kid into the world and basically abandoned her because he hated the mom.

I think they had grown a relationship once she was older and he didnt have to deal with the mama. But he is pretty much on record that he will disown a child if they do certain things. Im also on record that I would disown my child for certain things. We can be cordial but you would have to stop your ways to be grafted back in.

Its the same thing in countries where men have standards for their children,to the point they will kill them if they dishonor them(dont agree with this). If your child knows your standards, and you tell them certain acts/behaviors will get them booted from your life as your child. Its fair game to disown them if they refuse to change and do the right thing.

Its not about control its about guidance. We arent used to black men having standards in our community. Whenever a black man has standards or tries to promote discipline or chastising women, kids, and other black men,its a problem. Doing so publically I dont agree with though, since she didnt go public with grievences:respect:.

But like I said,i dont know how serious Corey actually is. He talked about Stephen A like this and hugged him when he saw him in person:mjlol:

Ish happens. She was a buss down from what he's saying. He wasn't with her. And from what he was saying, it sounds like she went the extra mile to make his life a living hell... which all of us know somebody in our lives who has gone through that. It aint the perfect situation... but it is what it is.
I mean, he chose to stick his dikk in crazy. That's his child regardless of how much he hated the mom, he can't demand respect when he wasn't there.

How can you provide guidance when you were absent during the period your child needed the guidance?

The same way Sexxy Red can provide guidance and shes not even your parent(for example). People will take guidance from anybody telling them what they want to hear. For certain things, whats right and whats wrong is clearcut imo. If a stranger is telling you whats right, and you dont wanna listen? You probably just enjoy doing wrong. Either that or your mind is so far gon you have no conscience. Sure you can blame the absentee parent for lack of guidance. THat doesnt absolve you from having common sense and knowing right from wrong.

The absentee parent is probably telling you something you already know. You just dont think they have the right to tell you anything. So the child still needs the guidance, and its your job to give it. You may have to work harder to catch up when you show up late to work.

Facts. You can’t be a cook and complain bout how the food turned out, if you wasn’t there the entire time to add all the ingredients, make sure it was on the right temperature, mix and properly prepare it. It gonna be burnt , undercooked, or just fukking nasty.

Yet grown ass men making excuses for themselves as if it doesn’t take a lot more time and attention to raise a human being for 18 years. You wasn’t around my nikka . What you got is what you served up to the world as it represents all the hard work you put in to preparing it. shyt
