Nah, Lakey the Kid is ill, 'Crush Linen', 'Blow', 'Let Em Hang', 'Right or Wrong', 'Stress & Greed' he has some nice material, dude spits like a grittier, more bloodthirsty Rick Ross, it's def. an 'acquired taste', as dude almost spits spoken word, and isn't very diverse flow wise, but he has harsh, direct lyrics, with vivid imagery, and brutal undertones. A full album of Lake over Alchemist beats would have been fire.

Dont know how true it is but he dont like too happy at the start of this interview

Lakey The Kidd & Cormega - Interview pt.1 - YouTube

:umad: be careful...cormega gets real sensetive about that issue

back on the old SOHH BOARDS.....chinkyeyez and myself (SKJ) were talking about how unpleasant he looked and sounded in regards to interview discussing the LAKE collabo...

and "son" (cormega) came at us on his own webiste :laff:

talking about me and chinky don't know what we talking about blah blah, lake never extorted him...

but in the SAME DAMN RESPONSE, he also says he was disappointed because he put alot of things on hold for that project and lost a considerable amount of money on that venture......

for the record....i like Cormega..was always a big fan...respected his indy grind and his talent and can validate that i did PURCHASE the "REALNESS" back in the day...

but he was getting kinda emotional in regards to that issue :sadbron:

because I NEVER said he was getting extorted..didn't know his business situation like that..i just like Chinky and yourself just commented on how "depressed' he looked.....and he got all "ballistic" on a n1gga :why:

don't know if it was extortion or not..it was just kinda funny to see how much Cormega paid attention to messageboards particualrly SOHH

oh yeah..i forgot when he use to come at GALVATRON all the time......GALVY was really getting on his nerves.......

ahhhhh SOHH the good ole days.................:rambo:

i thought he said he did that album wit Lake as a favor cuz the label told him if he didn't Lake was gonna lose his deal or sum shyt? I don't remember anything about extortion and I doubt Mega would admit that even if it was the case.

This is what I thought. I remember mega saying that he did an album because Lake needed to get some money to together to help out someone in the street that they were both cool with.

Originally Nas was suppose to sponsor the album, but when the meeting came, Nas never showed up, hence why Lake made the diss freestyle. BTW Lake said ALL of this during an interview. Then Lake looked to Mega and Mega helped out because Mega had successful sales history and the label wouldn't give Lake the deal without someone backing him, which is how the album got made. Mega had to agree to help create the album and be on the shyt to attract a fanbase.

I don't recall Mega ever ever sayin he was extorted and I'm a big fan of mega's music. Plus Mega has shouted out Lake on his website when he use to post on there. He use to tell dudes to check out his stuff from time to time. Plus if you wanted to get a hold of Lake for business purposes, you can contact Mega on his website and he made it seem like he would connect you.

And BTW the video footage is from the Who Am I album soundtrack that came out in 07'. The footage is from like 2002-2006. It was on a DVD with the album. The DVD is like 4 hours long. There's edited footage on youtube labled "Cormega in the Bay pt 3 and 4" plus another piece where he talks more about the Nas situation. He says that he didn't put it on the release because he didn't want the album to be about his issue with Nas because that's all some people relate him to.
