Definitely classic to me. No weak tracks or skippables, great content, dope flows, great lyrics, great production. Not much more someone could want other than maybe more tracks. If Nas had made this people would be going CRAZY and debating whether he surpassed Illmatic. Not popular statement but it's true.

Eh, Im a Nas stan.. Nas has 3 classics and a bunch of really good ass albums. I def never say a album is classic until at least a year later.. never

Thoughts on this album? No beef. No snark.
I only gave it one listen so far. It's good...a solid effort. I fukk with LP's production. I can never get TOO much into Cormega because his delivery is so dull and uninspiring. But this will get solid car rotation for a while.

MARS though. :ohlawd: But song I heard since...I don't know...a long time. Song of the year.

god knows if nasir made this album with extra p he would be "bringing hip hop back"
"this album is a classic":mjlol:

That's exactly what I meant, not saying it's better or worse than Illmatic, just that people would be going crazy and debating it.

I'm a huge Nas fan too. He's in my top 4, he probably has 4 classics to me too. And cool, that's fine, just sometimes I feel there are such things as instant classics, some grow on you and some you just know. Ready To Die for instance, a lot of people seemed to know right out the gate shyt was classic.

I think far too many reviewers judge upon who the artist is rather than the music. Objectivity is often missing. When I've reviewed albums or mixtapes it's always been with integrity. Whether it's my favourite artist or an artist I dislike, even artists I know I've reviewed and am cool with but had to be honest. Reviewers nowadays are often very plain and simple and they have a samey approach. With little Hip Hop in them. The people loving this album regardless.

I can't believe Cormega made an album that I am feeling this much. In 2014.

This is adult music. Connaisseur music.

Yeah, maybe you have to be mature or intelligent to really get this project. It's some grown man shyt.

And to elaborate slightly more, that's the problem, they judge off the artist rather than the music. I've seem some terrible undeserved ridiculous reviews for artists in the past. Not everybody will have the same opinion and that's fine, but some shyt is just outlandish, like if rated Ready To Die 3 mics or something lol, clearly better than that. I hope people start hiring better reviewers that are actually Hip Hop and know and live the culture or that ones who do combine to create own outlets.

Apparently there's multiple videos coming, and a mix of D.U with a bunch of QB rappers, that could be great, I wonder how far and how many will be on that one.
