No personal knowledge. But from what I remember, Mega felt obligated to do the album because Of his history with Lake. I think there is an interview (video) of the two of then where Mega clearly isn't happy and says something to the effect of "I had to do this album".

Yeah I don't think that would be right, as they were like childhood friends, sounds much more like Mega wasn't happy ultimately Lake wasn't paying the producers he was cool with, Mega is serious in music, I think Lake is a good artist but he doesn't seem to be on as a serious grind as Mega.

considering it's been said multiple times that lake and cormega were in the goodfellas crew that was said to run qb...i kind of doubt either one forced the other to do anything, but i wasn't there so i can't really say. only thing i could see is maybe lake put him on out there(this is just a guess i have no idea) and in the music world he wanted to get an album out with cormega as a favor? i could completely see the thing with lake not paying producers...he's simply known for not giving a fukk and daring people to test him. anyway, i just came in to say i've been waiting patiently on this release and i've managed to hold off listening to any tracks. can't wait to hear the album as whole. mega always delivers.

I'm running it again now, Mega's verse on M.A.R.S was crazy too, grew on me a lot, but AZ's though was still the ultimate to me.
