I can't think about rankings at this time, have to let it marinate, cause I love The Realness and True Meaning too. All I know to me this is a 5 mic classic album.

While waiting impatiently till the 22nd for my Amazon copy, I gotta couple questions for those who've heard it

1. Any hard songs like Montana Diary style? Besides MARS of course

2. Speaking of MARS, is the beat on this one better than the original? Does Mega spit a new verse?

A couple gripes I have with Mega, I like his new direction but miss his old hard street shyt. I guess artists gotta evolve. And also he seems so lazy, takes him 5 years to release another short album after his last short album. And for 11 songs, we had better not have no 2 minute long ones like the joint with Raekwon, which is still sick but Mega shoulda dropped another verse.

It depends what's hard to you, like Montana's Diary? I'd say no. But what I consider hard definitely.

M.A.R.S is the shyt, it's better than the original in my opinion, and yes it's a new Mega verse.

I get where you are coming from, cause I love the really hard G shyt, Get Out My Way, A Thin Line, all that shyt but ultimately overall I feel Mega has moved on from that and grown so we can't as fans pigeonhole him to that when he wants to mature. He's got a lot more to offer, I have no complaints whatsoever about this album, would have liked more tracks I guess but left me wanting and anticipating more, and there is no filler. His transition and growth is authentic, and here musically he has delivered in that style, so I'm pleased. It's better than Born & Raised to me though I liked that a lot too. But the mix and cohesiveness is better to me. It's a little more entertaining cause there are some bangers, some nice flow parts, good features, great content, just a brilliant album. I don't think Mega is lazy, I think the delay was due to Large Pro this time. This is worth the wait though, he's blessed us with a classic when we needed it.

Rise and More I think. The content on them two tracks and the rhyming is exceptional. But the M.A.R.S track is ill, everyone has a dope verse, but AZ particularly I love his verse, it's potent, that track has got a lot of play from me. I heard Valuable Lessons in a live show and thought the shyt was ill, beat is ill on that joint and so are the lyrics and personal content. I'm feeling that Rap Basquiet track as it's just a banger. Every track is dope though and some are incredible.

A lot of people, particularly artists seem to think it's his best work. I can easily understand why they would say that, he's possibly doing some of the best rhyming he's ever done here and has the best/deepest content. Like I said previously it's too early for me to compare to his previous work, so far just enjoying playing this on repeat.

I've always respected Mega's ability to make dope songs and albums. I hope people appreciate and support the calibre of work he's given us here. I hope it gives him a little boost too.
