So he supposed to sign his life, name and future power away...Nas needed a douljah and Mega wasnt having it
Like it or not...Mega made the right decision...this was a blessing in disguise...

Look at the Firm's members today...Dre, Nas, Nature, Foxxy, and AZ

Dre is world renown and was before and after the Firm

Nas's career was on a decline after the Firm until the JZ beef resurrected it--and he's the GOAT because of his history in rap

Nature...aint been relevant since like 1999

AZ hasn't made any noise since the Firm (he's made some dope music here and there tho)

Foxxy has been irrelevant since 2001.

Mega on the other hand...his first 2 solos are classic albums and he's made some bank being independent,..the rest of his catalogue is really good and he owns the masters... and he arguably has the best catalgue of the 2000s imo.

He still continues to tour and put out full studio albums too.

The rest of those guys minus Dre? :ld:

Pretty sure he was mentioning a different incident.
Nope...he's referring to the QUeens Plaza incident with Lakey the Kidd. Littles thought he didn't do anything to stop it when he could've...and Mega got loud with him about it on Hot 97.

He fought them over it...and nikkas in that crew were gonna get him regardless. He couldn't do anything to stop that.

Mega said Queens plaza... and said everytime as in more than once.

Mega should have never acted friendly towards P then. He needed him as a rapper but never had his back as a friend. He kept keep willingly working with him and had Prodigy on Lakes album even though they ain't like/respect him cuz they needed him. He was a bigger artist than them. Who keeps company with people they don't respect? Not stand up dudes.
Look I don't work for any of these nikkas and don't get paid by them...but based on the info that's available....where do yall get this stuff from..?

Prodigy and Mega were cool with each other due to rap music...not from the streets, so his "loyalty" to him is on a different level.

Mega obviously can't control the actions of others....so when nikkas were extorting P...there wasn't much he (mega) could do about it....the nikka mega is not Don Corleone.

Prodigy was being extorted by Lakey...plain and simple. It was a shakedown....sort of like what Mobsters do to small businesses that set up shop in their hood. They saw him doing business....and basically thought they were owed something because it was all being done on their turf. THey took his chain...and then gave it back to him with conditions....they wanted a cash payoff...but prodigy didn't have any money left after spending the budget on the album....Prodigy then agreed to do songs for Lake's album instead of giving him cash which he argued was worth more than the cash itself.

ANd it all makes sense....because I often wondered how is it that Lakey had P jumped in 1999....but Prodigy still made cleared guest appearances on the 41st Side album in 2001. When you think about it....the above explanation seems to add up.

Yes, the TUnnel incident and the Queens Plaza incident are on the same night to my knowledge.

The whole thing starts at the Tunnel....and ends up at Queens Plaza where he was jumped later on.

And yea...he's also talking about other times too....further making my original point...Mega has stood up for P (according to Mega anyway)

He dissed Lake on his own Album but he was on it because of Mega. Lake was extorting everyone. Prodigy, Alchemist...

Prodigy was putting on QB dudes like Bars n hooks, infamous Mobb. You make it sound like he was selling drugs on their turf meanwhile he was giving them looks. Only a moron burns bridges like that. Can't see the bigger picture.

Mega himself arguably ended up getting extorted by lake. People deny it but Mega didn't want to make or promote their collabo album

This whole idea that Mega is always some stand up guy is pure bullshyt. When you hear Lake on that Why remix you know exactly the type of dude he is. I don't respect grown men who feel owed and entitled to what others have. The company you keep reflects you.

Negative , I never said that.

Prodigy was on Lake's album because Lake took the "appearances" in place of cash. Prodigy's explanation of it (according to people who were there) was that the verses were worth more than the cash (that he didn't have anyway) because Mobb Deep at the time were hot in the industry. Maybe the disses flew over Lakey's head...but Lake saw them as a payment for a debt.

No disagreement to Prodigy's contribution and loyalty....dude hooked up more people than anyone in QB and to a fault. BUT that's not how some of them nikkas saw it.

Lake is a GOON. He's like a organized crime member...he thinks Mobb Deep was making money off of his hood and for that reason he thinks they owed him something. The guy is a real life QB "Goodfella." He didn't care how cool he was...he just thought that he could "tax" him.

Now to my knowledge...Mega didn't get exhorted by Lake...Lake didn't have that kind of power over him in QB. Mega stopped fukin with Lake music wise because Mega was a legit businessman...and he hooked Lake up with producers...and Lake refused to pay them...it embarrassed Mega as someone who was trying to be a legit artist...so he stopped fukin with him. (this is all according to mega and a few other people).

I don't know about him always being a stand up guy....but just about everyone has agreed that he is certified and about the most honest guy out of all the known QB rappers.

Life snatched away tho lol. He would have got his life "snatched away" more times if not for mega.

Mega was keepIing alot of nikkas off him but P is a grown man.

P stood by n watched nikkas try to snatch nores life away but I don't see nikkas goin out their way calling p a snake.

If mega was so foul why he one of the only qb nikkas that went to see him in jail? Why was P still cool with mega at all?

P don't strike me as a sucker n never had a problem saying who he don't like so why would he b cool with a nikka that watched him "get his life snatched. "?

Mega wasn't poppin like that out here p didn't need him at all but they stayed cool even after P did some sucker shyt with his book.

So again why was p cool with mega? Yall know something about mega that me an P(God bless the dead) dont?

if you read between the lines, mega didn't seem like he really liked P but he needed mobb deep/P's cosign after the fallout with Nas to get back in the industry. Mega even flat out said he had no beef with anyone from QB outside of P less than a year ago on Drink Champs:usure:. He flat out said squashing the beef with P wasn't really beneficial to him personally (shermda worm and Lakey) or financially because it's not like P/Mobb was popping.

what what this? It's not showing

Mega posted that

And AZ replied in the comments thanking Mega for the props and saying he didn't even hear the Stoute interview, called him a clown, and said he's chilling and living his life.

I think AZ has been saying something like that for his entire career lol

AZ is an artist, and one worthy of respect, Stoute is just an opportunistic corporate dude who made a lot of money, granted, he brought the careers of Jay and Nas amongst others to a high level.
