Nothing you quoted from the article goes against the tweet, which just shared a chart from the article, and broke it down by percentage.
Everything that guy post is doom and gloom

he’s trying to paint a picture that vaccinated people are not protected from the variant

the article clearly states that people that have been fully vaccinated (2 dose) have great protection from the variant. Something that has been confirmed for weeks

why doesn’t his tweet say that only 5% of those fully vaccinated tested positive for the delta variant last week?

The article says that.

He is being extra but AstraZeneca isn’t as strong against the Delta variant of Covid as others.

"the whole story" .. :salute:

how much is AstraZeneca used in the UK? and how effective is it against delta?

i am waiting a few more weeks to see what happens myself.
AZ is a British drug maker and their main supplier.

Their was another person I saw yesterday saying it’s the fact Boris hoarded the vaccine from India, where the Delta variant emerged, and the slow roll out to the British people.

Britain is doing 12 weeks between shots so they could juice the the numbers with single shots

Dr. John Campbell was adamant that the vaccine rollout would lead to "quick" herd immunity and a return to normal. So knowing that that was unlikely to happen I have been keeping a close eye on him to see how he would handle being "wrong" and to see how upfront he would be about backtracking on those early assurances.

Well he recently backtracked by saying that now "he is convinced that we will be able to rid the world of Covid after a few seasons of vaccinations" but at no point did he hold his hands up and say that he was wrong previously. Also when talking about the South African variant he seems to be following what he wants rather than the science. He has said multiple times in the past that the vaccines will handle the variants. Now he says we will have to adjust the vaccines for new variants and it will take "seasons" to stop this.

So as highly intelligent as he is, it seems that the cost of being that smart is stubbornness and arrogance. These are by no means deadly sins but knowing this I have to be even more diligent in analysing his videos and statements.

I still like him though and am eternally grateful for his videos but it is interesting to see nonetheless.

Video and backtrack here: start t=23m10s

well ...

also a reporter said on UK sky news today that "we will be dealing with covid forever".

i didn't realise that the consensus now is that covid has become endemic.
