Governor Doing a Vaccine Lottery to try to increase vaccination rates and some colleges trying similar initiatives to get students vaccinated but other than that Covid is an afterthought

i think they really might lose 2022 midterm elections and possibly turn some state legislatures purple because their voter-base is dying.

Back in April everyone assumed it would be around 70 percent in august

That stat doesnt tell the whole story. People <12yrs can’t get a vaccine. The adult population that is fully vaccinated is 60%, 69% with one dose. By End of Aug/Early Sep we should see closer to 70% of the adult population fully vaxxed.

Even better is the older folks more susceptible to serious illness from Covid are vaccinated in greater numbers.
