Because people are on the edge. They were joking about Corona Beer and talking xenophobic shyt about Batsoup, until the Virus kept coming like Rocky after Apollo. Viruses like this don't need Human intervention to be made, it does that on it's own.

On the flip side, this thing isn't some airborne gas. Its water droplets from sneezes and coughs, that can only survive outside for 3 minutes. So Social Distancing is PERFECT, it just requires discipline and focus. Yet people are too busy in a panic to buy toilet paper, so you know their fukking stupid to begin with. Just focus on taking care of yourself and family first, and maybe your close friends, and you'll be alright.
