Ass was toast when he called it a Democratic Hoax.

Once the bodies drop in white America...those sound bytes will kill him..
When he gets on stage at the DNC, Biden if he's smart, will have a solid 5-6 people who lost someone as a result of the Rona

My gf works in a hospital and told me many of the staff there still aren't taking this thing serious. She said there was a guy who came in there with symptoms and got tested. The staff took no precautions and allowed this man to walk into the cafeteria and walk freely around the hospital. So now she is all worried about being exposed. And now I am worried about her exposing me since we live together. We are both healthy young people but this isn't a disease that either of us want.

America is going to fail at containing or mitigating this virus because people simply aren't taking the necessary precautions. Not even in the hospitals where it should be the most strict.

how is knowing you're not a person in need condoning getting fukked by politicians? if this was something put to a vote to help those actualy in need, i'd vote for it, i'm not stopping them from being helped.

people out there who are losing jobs, small businesses that are closed and getting no patrons, people who may have a job but getting no hours, people who can't go to work because their kids are home, etc. i make a decent living, have no mortgage - i own a building and my tenants cover my mortgage and cash flow me, i paid off my car 4 years ago...like why the fukk would i say i need this money right now given the direct contrast of my situation to those who actually do need the money?

Because they're fukking you already anyway. Just because you currently have the means to weather a storm doesn't mean that your situation can't change in the blink of an eye or that you have been duly compensated for your past efforts.

As the poster you quoted said, why is it always expected that individual citizens bear the burden of "doing what's best for the greater good" and never the larger institutions and businesses that put us into these predicaments in the first place?

Reminds me of the whole littering/recycling campaign movement. As an effort to push back against regulations to stem the overproduction of waste and environmental damage (which would hurt profit margins), companies pushed for a public effort to place that responsibility on individuals, instead of these corporations taking responsibility for a societal problem they created.

Saying you're cool not receiving tax payer funded relief because you rather donate it to someone in need completely misses the point. It's no different than that asshat Whole Foods CEO suggesting that workers with ample sick/vacation time donate it to their fellow employees who don't have any time left accrued........instead of just giving your damn workers the time they need to so they won't die trying to make you even richer than you already are :martin:

Ehhhhh,

This won’t be over by then and there very well might not even be a convention.

The tone of him accepting the nomination is not one of trotting people’s families on stage as political props. I get what you mean but that ain’t the move.
