So the new argument by Fox News/Trump supporters is that the death counts are overinflated and the virus is much less harmful than we thought.

:scust:

People from TLR are saying the samr thing :smh:

Those CoVID19 spinoff threads with the inconsistent conspiracy theories and how the Rona is a fake disease :snoop:

It's sad but that was always going to be the outcome. A bunch of experts even said to be prepared, and that if we were successful in flattening the curve, we were going to be accused of overreacting.
Just take it as a sign of victory, because if social distancing had failed, they would all believe us, but there would be a lot more dead people.

I find the whole "clapping for our healthcare workers" lame as fukk. Just a way for people sitting at home to make themselves feel better and like they're doing something.

But throwing flammable liquid at a hospital is really taking it hard the opposite way
I’d settle for that over calling grocery store employees and delivery people heroes :upsetfavre:

Grocery Store Workers, Healthcare Workers and Delivery People are definitely Heroes.
:yeshrug:
All three of those occupations are probably disproportionately at risk
of being exposed to Covid-19 and they all get up and still go to work.

Especially the grocery store workers, they've got to deal with a massive influx of pissed off
antsy people, somehow control that chaos and try their best not to get sick in the process.

I applaud anybody whose been able to successfully handle the public during this Pandemic.

"So a funeral in NYC at the time of Covid, at least with this funeral home, is as follows:

-No visiting hours

-The cemetery (at least the one we're using, not sure about all) are allowing up to ten people to gather for a burial service. But my family, since we can't really have proper services right now anyhow, have decided to postpone them until the world calms down. I'll at least show up to the burial.

-Bodies must be double bagged when either coming from the hospital, or in the funeral home. Not sure where they double bag, but it happens. So much so that my contact said they are not allowed to dress the body or do anything to touch the body besides taking a picture, which I guess is standard.

-The coffin itself apparently must be bagged too, "to prevent leakage". I was warned that when the burial happens, don't be shocked to see the coffin in a bag. :dwillhuh:"
