You can actually, it's just never been done.

The faster people accept that getting things back to normal isn't an effective strategy then maybe we will begin to get innovative solutions. Active scanning for the virus, ultraviolet points to clean your hands, etc.

This may actually force people to look beyond money as an exchange standard.

You are right. We need innovation to work around this. The economy is after all just people providing goods and services. We have to think of ways that we can still get as much as possible done.

Random example: In Romania they plan to reduce office density by having as many people as possible work from home and then for the rest they split into two groups who each work in split legs in the office for 15 day stretches at a time. That might not work so well in open plan western offices but in Romania where smaller older offices dominate with 3 -4 people in each that could reduce you to 1 or 2 people working in an office at a time. Then the government has agreed to pay 75% of the lost salary. Add to that working at weekends, max use of PPE and regular cleaning it might work for some companies. Similarly using the same split shift approach we could extend working hours to around the clock and weekends to thin the working staff density.

They are not going to. The proven time and again that they only do harm to the communities they reside in. They now exposed as frauds and selfish hardheads that run away from a conflict that they deem too big.

That's sad though cause they can do good for themselves as well.

Whasup with y'all cats not believing in a middle ground or compromise? Life isn't always a zero sum game where everyone is stubborn as fukk.

Here's what's gonna happen, in non epidemic cities, social distancing is going to be relaxed. People will gradually start going back to work. If you've noticed now "Essential jobs" are mostly shytty low paying ones, unless they're in the health related field. Essential workplaces will be expanded to include MOST businesses. You'll be given a mask and gloves when you go into work and that's it. The hard hit areas are going to have to ride it out unfortunately, so stay away from every urban metropolis.

Also, the United States is an interesting place where people value their freedom over other peoples lives. What's wrong with locking down a city? Look at that article about Nurses going from Canada to Detroit.........WTF?!?! Likewise, we have these 50k+ stadiums in the United States being empty af and every day you hear about hospitals being over crowded.......wtf? Hopefully, when things start to normalize people don't forget ALL the systemic things that allowed this to go on. But, who knows.

You guys have to stop being so stubborn. Not one singular opinion is right. Mask up, gloves, Vitamin c, d and zinc everyday, stay safe.
