Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, and Ireland were all able to flatten their curve by issuing lockdowns and many have even extended them. What you're proposing seems like it wouldn't really accompish anything but allow the virus to spread faster.

It's a probable risk.
Why not wait a bit longer to do more antibody testing and more PCR testing to get a better idea about the risks before risking that high number of deaths?
