He DESPERATE. He seen them poll numbers, tha body count rising, economy still in da toilet.
honestly, it's still early

trump is trapped like a rat. when the economy gets no better and it looks like he's gonna lose, we might see him try to get out of this somehow. his ego can't take losing an election, he might just die of a heart attack between november and january

At this point all he has are Jesus Warriors and Infowar incels. Gotta play to your base.

Trump about to hop on Twitch pretty soon so he can check into a Fortnite lobby and start hurling weak dikk terminology to his Beta worshippers

Unfortunately, many retail stores and restaurants will go out of business in 2020 even if their states allow them to open by conforming to new social distancing guidelines. Restaurants already make money on very slim margins. Imagine taking the time to reorganize your restaurant to make sure each table is now 6 ft apart and you can only have 20%-30% of normal occupancy. In a way, each small business is being set up to fail because you still are paying the exact same rent you were pre-pandemic. No way this works out for many businesses. A combination of social distancing and the majority of people not going to these institutions will hurt these businesses. This is why if things re-open the federal government should fully support these small business for the remainder of the crisis.

A lot of those small businesses are just gonna flat-out defy the order. :yeshrug:

Same thing with the churches. They know they can get away with it in certain counties because local sheriffs aren't enforcing stay-at-home orders.

Most restaurants are designed to maximize profit per square foot. It says something that a chain like Cheesecake Factory, which has strong sales at their restaurants, can't even pay the rent on the buildings. The restaurants that survive will do so because a) they own the real estate and don't have a lease or b) adapt heavily to make sure they are pandemic proof

Then add on a possible second wave, which hopefully doesn't happen, on top of that. If that happens, its going to be devastating. Even if we don't officiall "shut down" that is going to give people a lot of pause.
